This has probably been discussed before but I couldnt find it in the search.

Im taking biaxin 2 x a day and then in the middle try and get in my calcium, magnesium & probiotics

Ive been taking garlic at the same time I take my abx since they both need food and I want to take it more than just in the middle of the day. Any thoughts about taking them at the same time??

When I first started garlic, a year ago, I was taking one per day day and my cholesterol went right down to where it should be. Now its way back up there. Im ??? if perhaps I am wiping it out or perhaps it has no bearing.

High doses of magnesium brought my BP down so I stopped meds and kept it down for at least a couple of years and then it shot up again even tho Im taking 1500mgs magnesium per day. It just quit having an effect on my BP so our bodies dont always react the same.

The magnesium does still help keep my pain at a very managable level. I really notice a difference when I take glycinate instead of citrate. Im taking a combo now cuz my calcium has citrate in it and then I all more glycinate.

Im rambeling on and on. Take your pick "lyme sick", "dumbblond" "old lady"

Now why underestimate yourself like that? These are USEFUL observations, relevant to many of us, and you describe them clearly.

Well done!

Sofy, Are you only taking probiotics once a day?

If you are, you really should be taking them two hours after each dose of abx. If I don't take enough "cells" I feel awlful. My minimum is 20 BILLION cells per day.

I take garlic, with my meals. That is whenI take most of my vitamins, supposedly better absorbtion.

Not to worry I take Primal defense minimum of 2 x a day and mostly 4 x a day. I always take on empty stomach and at least 2 hrs from ABX.

Im still wonder about taking my garlic at the same time as the abx. I do both with food.

PAULSCHA, not to worry about my self esteem the last line on my post was just my whackey obtuse sense of humor. If I couldnt laugh at all of this I wouldnt survive. Thank for your comment

to mitigate against potential problem(s) its best to stagger intake according either to doc's, pharmacist's instructions, and/or the PDR's mention of concentration of teh abx in the blood, tissues, and organ systems over time.

garlic lowers the systolic pressure but not the diastolic pressure so i heard by a Ph.D nutritionist( not the cracker-jack-box-degreed 'potato-peelers' in the ada).

I take raw garlic and garlic capsules regularly. 3+ cloves a day.
