I decided not to use homemade bleach mouthwash. Instead am using Nystitan mouth wash, pure virgin coconut oil, lots of yogurt and acidophilous. Mouth has cleared up a great deal.

Had swished a few times with pure vinegar. Gums turned white and recessed showing teeth roots. Recession still there but interesting side effect... my teeth have never been so white.

Question. As of 3 days ago started new med. Mephron and Zithro . Had the runs on day two and have quite a fever last night and today. Could this be just a side effect of the drugs or is the fever resulting from the killing off of parasites.

LLMD put me on them as I was having chills and night swaets and these weren't going away from Ketek - Flagyl combo.

Not sure what he is treating with the Mephron - Zithro? Does one have a herx from these? Been on abx since March 2005. Stopped for 3 weeks in June at LLMD request. Symptons got worse during these three weeks without ABX.

He seems to be treating you for co-infection of Babesia...I believe that's what mepron is used for.

Either that or Bartonella.

Yes the temp change could be a result of fighting the disease but keep an eeye on it...

I have'nt had mepron yet so someone who has will probably be by here to help more...
You're post heading is'nt too clear though so you may want to put your question up a little clearer next time. You should also be able to do a search cuz I'm sure your questions have been asked and answered many times...................zman [Wink]

brighty,

I just started the Mepron/Zithro combo too for possible Babesia. My bowel habits have changed a little and a couple of times of "the runs", but for the most part only on occasion. Part of this for me too has been that I have been trying to eat a much fattier diet because you should eat a fatty meal w/Mepron (around 25g) as it helps w/the absorption (increases it 2-3 times).

If this is happening regularly, you need to contact your LLMD because this can be a side effect of Mepron. 20% of Mepron users have to discontinue due to diarrehea (spelling?) as a side effect. The are alternatives your LLMD can use in its place.

Good luck.
