My kids are on IV Primaxin. They are improving but have a long way to go.

They started at 250 mg 3 times a day and as of today are increasing to 500 mg 3 times a day.

Primaxin rules.

I found the regimen to be a bear, but it has twice brought me from near death to relative health. If my current doc decides to try IV for me for my current relapse, it will be Primaxin all the way...

Have had two rounds of Rocephin in prior years. This time - since I relapsed again - I am on Primaxin. Everything I've heard about it has been positive and I started herxing after 3 days. Never did that with Rocephin.

I've had two rounds of Rocephin prior. Since I kept relapsing - I am now on Primaxin. Everything I have heard about it is good and in my case, very good because of the prior Rocephin use. I had my first herx after only 3 days with Primaxin - never that way with Rocephin, although with the Rocephin had a lot more instant joint relief.
