These pills are like horse pills! I thought the other ones were big, but these are huge!

Did call pharmacy. I wish they'd let you know when they're going to do that.

Has anyone else gotten them yet?

Have your provider write a prescription as DAW
DAVA brand medically necessary. You've gotten a newly approved generic brand of clarithromycin.

Ask the pharmacy to call or fax your old script to the provider so that they can add the DAW instructions.

Dava generic brand is manufactured by Abott at the same plant as clarithromycin.

Also, you you check and see who manufatcures your current dispense-check both the company and the location of the plant. It is on the side of the manufacturers bottle.

Please post the name of the manufacturer when you find out.

Yes, it is Biaxin. There is only a name that says Teva, USA on the side effect pamphlet.
Can't find any names on either the old Biaxin bottle or this new one.

Is it just as effective? Last time I asked the llmd when they changed it the first time, and he said it was o.k.. He doesn't know about this one.

I hate this because it's for ninety pills, and I'm seeing my llmd this month, and doubt if he'll continue with this one.

I've taken the biaxin in the past, and we're trying this one again, because I got terribly sick on tetracyline.

Teva usually manufactures product in Isreal, and ships from Isreal to the US.

Generic drugs can vary by up to 20%, and can have different excipients.

You might want to finish up this dispense. If you notice a difference, call your provider immediately.

I like to stick with just one generic brand, because it is more consistent therapy, and you know what the response is.

You can contact your provider, have them change the script top read Dva brand only, and/or see if the pharmacy will order the Dava generic brand for your next fill.

hope thta this helps.
