I am herxing pretty bad from the pink pill/melted yellow crayon concoction that they came up with to torture us lyme (babs) patients. Been taking it for 2 weeks now.
My herxes are weird though, they are not constant, they seem to only last for a while after the meds. They start about a half an hour to an hour after the meds and last for about 6-8 hours and then the headache/brainfog, etc. lightens up a little.
Then when I take the next round (take them twice a day - luckily I sleep through most of the second one), back it comes....about 90% of the time this is how I feel after I take them.
So does anyone else just herx for 6-8 hours then a break, then again after the abx?
Is this Babs or could it still be Lyme?
Thanks,
jloisu

You're bringing back recent memories! I've almost finished month three on this delightful combo, and my beginning was the same.
Initially I would herx with each dose, and get a short break just in time to go another round. These were throw in the towel and find the couch herxes.
Gradually they dimenished in both intensity and duration. At month two they were about once a week. Then I had a headache and neuro symptoms for about two weeks. Now I just have stare at the wall brain fog and extreme fatigue.
Another month to go before a lab check, but I will say in spite of all, things have gotten steadily better. Its just a slow process.
Hang in there and know that better days are coming.
Editing to answer your question: I think the herxing is from both, but I do believe most of my improvement has come from knocking down the babs. I base this on improved circulation/microcirculation, normalzation of high BP and reduced resting heart rate.

Yes, I took my combo at 9:00 and was a dizzy mess by 11:00. Then, it went away after an hour or so, which enabled me to function for 1/2 a day.
