I know this sounds crazy, but I think I herx worse on generic Flagyl than name brand. I have tried both combined with the same other abx's.
Am I crazy? Anyone else had this experience, with Flagyl or any other generic drug?
Just wondering if I am alone on this one...

Hey Fiddler,
My son herxed plenty on the generic form of flagyl. Depression as well. As the weeks went on in his pulsing of the med, the severity of the herx's dropped as well.

I am going to start flagyl on monday. I am so nervous to go through the herx. I keep reading how horrible people's herx is on this stuff and I am wondering what exactly you all are going through? Will I be able to maintain a job? I am taking 500mg 3 times a day for 3 monthes-and then i will re-evaluate. What should I expect? Right now I am also on valtrex 1000mg for mono and shingles and I am taking minocycline 250mg. My symptoms before treating lyme were vomitting everything i ate-stomach aches, virtigo, mono, shingles, and a ton of joint and muscle pain. I am also in physical therapy. Right now I am handling the meds great. I am finally adjusted to them-but now I will be starting flagyl. Ne advice you can give me would be great!

Generic flagyl did nothing for me. The name brand worked very well in my case. Go with what works for you.
