i have no idea if this is lyme related, but i thought i'd ask here.
if i sit for a prolonged period of time, particularly (for example) at my computer, i often get a horrible, pinching, *burning muscle-type pain in the region of my upper back. i try to sit with my back straight up against the chair, but that doesn't seem to help. could this be caused by lyme, etc? or maybe it's just where all my tension coils up?
stretching, lying down, or yoga eventually work to minimize the pain a bit.

I definately don't have Lyme - but I get this all the time. Sometimes, after a couple hours in front of the computer, my shoulder blades and the area between them just burn and burn. I think it is mostly to do with posture and the stress on various muscles. I get the same problem when I sit in the car for a long time as a passenger or when at the theatre - especially if I have to stretch a bit to see past people.

I get a simialr pain in my upper back from some of the same kinds of things, but mine is primarily on the right side and the pain reaches al the way around to my ribs and chest. Like my entire right thoracic and rib area are in almost constant spasms and pain. When it first started 4 pr 5 years ago when I was 18 or 19, it was not in such a huge area but more concentrated in my right shoulder blade, I always felt and still do to this day that something was out of place, but have had multiple x rays and seen a number of different doctors and chiropractors.
I truly think this may be lyme related or at least related to some kind of illness, sometimes I wonder if I even have lyme or if there is really something else wrong and I am fighting the wrong thing.

Sounds like one of the symptoms of gallbladder problems, have they checked that?
