Hi All- I had horrible twitching starting July 1 for a month followed by a month of shooting pain all over my body and now it is gone. I do have a faint little twitch here and there and a pain shoot every now and then but NOTHING like this summer. Now the only symptoms I have are bumps in my mouth (not on ABX) and a sore throat and sore lymph nodes occasionally. This is nothing like my original symptoms -piece of cake! My MRI of last week came back -"perfect, spotless". My LLMD pushed my initial appt. back from Oct 17 to Nov 28 (scheduling problem.) If I still feel this good, should I even go? Have you all experienced remissions? My neurologist thinks since I seem to be getting better, it was probably just a virus and let's just watch it.

If you don't have Lyme, sure, possible. If you have Lyme, doesn't sound too likely that you would just completely recover with no treatment.

There is a lot of variation in expression of symptoms and in the course of the disease. It is hard to say in any particular case what is happening. Sometimes one symptom disappears for a while and another one shows up.
Some people do apparently achieve remission. It is only possible to say sometimes in retrospect.

Yes, I have had periods of remission, even prior to antibiotic treatment. periods of stress always brought symptoms roaring back, and I never lasted longer than a few months.
Let me understand, did you have a clear MRI following one that showed something? Or just a clear MRI? It is very common with Lyme for nothing to show on an MRI.
I don't know your history, and don't have any opinion as to whether or not you have Lyme. All I can say, based on what you have told us, is that it is possible.
Pain, tenderness, and erosion in my mouth and sore throat and lympth glands have been some of my most persistent, ongoing symptoms. Of course, these will show up with any bacterial or viral infection.

Stress will bring me out of remission quicker than anything else...
It is possible to have your symptoms return with a vengence..
Last year mine did b/c I was under a GREAT deal of stress, it was as if I had never treated mysel.... I am back into remission but only b.c I am back on abx treatment and have upped the dosages.

It's been seen many times where people are perfectly healthy but have Lyme Disease. The majority of those people are men for some reason.
There was a study done many years ago where they injected Borrelia in to 6 month old horses and none of the animals showed any sign of infection. They continued to inject them on 6 month intervals (I think). Eventually the horses ended up with symptoms.
Some of us can handle a small load of Borrelia. I think some of us can handle a large load of Borrelia even.
I was infected in '91 and lived with symptoms on and off for 10 years. I had been treated for 1 month and pronounced cured. Things got progressively worse through time. There were times when I felt fine. I wish I had known then what I know now. I would have continued treatment until all symptoms were gone for at least 2 months.
I'm now headed in to my 4th year of treatment and I'm still not 100%. I've also missed out on a whole lot of life and have invested uncountable amounts of money.
So, that's *my* story. In my opinion, it's better to be safe than sorry.

I considered myself in remission this summer when I was rifing. Now I feel terrible (not rifing now; doing salt/C protocol.
Maybe I should go back to rifing. Hiker

Lyme is easily cured with..... allot of time, persistence, the right tests, the right treatments, good detox, good diet and a few other things......don't mess around, hit it hard and long.....

I agree with SemperFi and would like to add the sooner you get into treatment the better. The bacteria doesn't just sit still, unfortunately, it spreads, multiplies and deepens in the body.
The longer one waits, the harder and longer the treatment.
