Read an article in Augutst 2005 issue of Vitamin Research News which says "Samento: New Remedy For An Ancient Enemy--Lyme Disease." Have you ever used Samento, and if so, how did it work for you?

Using it. Not sure it has done anything.... Worth a try, but not a miracle cure. Start slow.

I used to take it during a period of around 3 months along with a lot of other supplements as per a protocol of my llmd. However, it did not do much for me, no herx whatsoever, i even went up to 3 times 25 drops a day and nothing happended. Some say they herx on miniscule amounts such as 1/4 drop. Anyway, maybe i improved a little bit in those 3 months, but not much.
I know some have had spectacular results with it, others only herx, many people relapse immediately after discontinuing it, and for some people it doesn t do anything at all. try and you'll see in which category you'll fall

My LLMD started me on it about 4 weeks ago along with Scolopendrium another herbal. I had to start out with only 1 drop and gradually build up to 5 drops but started having a sensation of a tightness around my rib cage. I have backed off for a few days but will start back with 1 drop again soon. Anyone else had this happen with anything they are taking?
I posted that same question Oct. 20, 2005. I am looking for a doctor that will prescribe and work with my husband in using Samento. May I ask who is your doctor, where located, phone number, etc. We are living in Greensboro, NC; I recently read an article about Samento in the Vitamin Research Journal, and it sounds like what he might need to try; however, we haven't been able to find a doctor that knows or has used it before. Thanks for any help you can give!

Dodie, It is being used by my doctor because my immune system crashed due to Interferon shots for MS. He is trying to build my immune system back up. The liquid form is so new that I don't think the doctors know how it is going to work. I've read of a clinic run by a Dr. J in North Carolina who would be a lot closer for you. I've just been diagnosed with lyme 4 weeks ago so I'm not in a position to give a recommendation.
