I'm borderline, although I never saw the results but was told the results by my first LLMD (back in 1997). I have no idea what my numbers are now, just that I was borderline back then.

I have a positive ANA, elevated sed rate and elevated CRP. Full panel test for Lupus was negative. Guess all that inflammation means Lyme.

Had results like Pitnum -- positive ANA, elevated sed rate but full Lupus panel was negative.

In 1992 my ANA level was slightly elevated and proceeded to get higher until I was finally treated with abx in 1997. After treatment it went back to normal. To the best of my knowledge, although I still have LD, the ANA is still normal.

I already posted this, but my doc said that the ANA is slightly elevated in about 50% of women. So does this mean that we all have lupus or lyme? I just wonder if there is more to it and it's not always related to the Lyme. He said mine has been slightly elavated and he's watching it...for years now.
So does this mean I have Lyme for years and not just the year that I think I have had it? That scares me that I gave it to my kids during pregnancy.
I also have been dealing with blood sugar issues...first hypoglycemia and now borderline diabetic. So if a positive ANA is an auto immune issue then maybe my ANA over the years has to do with that.

In my past I have been extremely high ANA - and at times had an extremely high SED rate - and was also positive for anti smooth muscle antibodies.

I have a positive ANA but was never treated for it if there is even anything to treat it with and for... I was told AnA is an inflammation count? Means you have inflammation in the body but doesn't tell you why?
