Yes, for me this is my time of year. Cold, raw weather and inability to thermoregulate (get warm) will send me into facial twitches.
In 11mo of abx and was doing fairly well, almost wanted to taper off some of the abx but now realize that with the change of season, gray sky or contrast in lighting my symptoms seem to be increasing.
When someone opens or closes a door my ears feel like they are wiggling inside. I know I can't wiggle them, but they are ultra sensitive to sound. My eye would twitch or my mouth.
Have had more twitching in leg. Feet are KILLING me. Everything seems inflamed.
Hard to sleep again. then wake up like I wish I could stay in bed.
Before abx, had a lot of facial numbness. Or if I bent down my forehead would twitch/seize for that period of time.
It's creepy and frightening.
Recently I've also been experiencing more facial bone pain and sensitivity. Feels like I was in a boxing ring. Cheek bones, brows and temples. Jaw not too bad.
Pretty tender time of year for me.

All the time when the lyme is acting up.
Also facial herpes can create a similar feeling, but usually results in the blisters if you don't take acyclovir.
So if your face is a-twitching and not having herpes outbreak, yes, it could be lyme related.

This is one of the most irritating symptoms for me...I've had them for a while. They have come and gone before, but are hanging around for a longer period this time....even on ABX.
I call mine "vibrations". The are definately worse @ night while laying down in bed. (and everything is quiet). I can actually place my hands on a "hot" area and feel them slightly.
I have also had eyebrow spasms, which are short-lived contractions, brought on while looking into a PC screen or TV. (I think the refresh-rate of the screens did it, actually).
The vibrations started in the area of the bite, on my left elbow...and I could actually feel it migrate up my arm and neck, to my face (over a period of days). It hasn't moved much since.
Very annoying, but I don't believe it causes any damage...short or long term...THAT I KNOW OF !

Hi, Twitching, spasms have been my second main problem, First burning skin.
I take high dosages of Mag. When I am on Mag I have very little twtiching. Mag relaxes muscles and nerves. {thanks Marnie} I can tell when it starts wearing off.
I take powered Mag with Vit and Cal Mac. Both by Nutrina. Reg suppliments of MAg work also. It also acks as a lax-stoll softener.

Sure do. Happens mainly when I am having a bad flareup.
Two parts, first feels like being pricked by the end of a ballpoint pen, then, just fractions of a second later, I get a facial spasm with that point as the seeming "epicenter".
