I've been on Ketek for a few months and mepron for 50 days. I have been taking Ultra Flora the whole time, one morning and night.
The last week I have noticed I feel horible and my tongue has a flim covering it that looks white.
I started on two ultra Flora morning and night a few days ago thinking it mite be a yeast problem.
Does it sound like it is? What else should be done or will the extra Ultra Flora clear it up if it is

Sounds like yeast. I'd call your doc and see about getting on Nystatin or some other prescription anti-fungal AND I would add something natural with garlic, caprylic plus, and other natural anti-fungals.

After 9 weeks on abx it finally has caught up with me, too, and I have exactly the same symptom/complaint. the other day I looked at my tongue and it was awful! Also water tastes terrible. I want to throw up.
On Monday my llmd gave me nystatin that I just got filled. Hope it will help.
My son did the peroxide brushing of teeth/swishing and afterwards chewed a couple chewable probiotics and that has helped him immensely.
Someone just recommended a gum you can get at a vitamin store.
Thanks for posting.

I would suggest that you take the diet to a very strict level for about two-three weeks. THEN you might be able to have popcorn on occasion in small quantities.
Just remember that all starches turn to sugar in the body.
Are you taking Nystatin? I have found it very helpful in keeping the yeast at bay. It is a prescription. Stay away from liquid Nysatin, as it contains sugar. [go figure!]
Nystatin does not affect the liver, btw.
Diflucan could get you past the problems you are having right now. Many here take Diflucan regularly.
Breakfast....eggs, or an Atkins bar, depending upon how much time I have.

Trails - where have u been on vacation to eat that for breakfast????
I eat natural yogurt with linseeds, ground nuts & seeds & scoop of protein powder (non sweetened). i'd recommend this - easy to digest - wont feed the yeast. i cant stomach eggs in morn
Imlymed -i hope your yeast clears up soon. Posts: 83 | From UK | Registered: Oct 2005

My daughter's doctor recommended Listerine. Works as well or better than the Nystatin lozenges.

iI have been using peroxid too.I brush my tongue with and that let it stay on a while'
Tee tree oil works good too.
I read somewhere though if you use something strong like this it leaves a vacant ground for the yeast. I have been sprinkling aphodophillus in my mouth.
This has seemed to keep the thrush away. And No sugars no carbs too.
Blessings dana

does a coated tongue always signify yeast? or could it mean something else as well?
