Hi All- I just received a bottle of transdermal DMPS that my Naturopthic Doctor prescribed. My LLMD had wanted me to chelate out the high Mercury and Lead that I have. I am supposed to put 60 drops on my body every other day and this stuff stinks! With every thing else going on (groshong catheter in chest, infusions at hospital every day) and being a single woman, I do not want to smell like sulphur! Anyone have suggestions for a safe way to chelate without smelling like rotten eggs?

I use NDF and PCA-RX which are drops. Not sure which is more effective, but do agree that heavy metals need to be addressed.
Maybe you can apply the drops under tighter clothing such as pants?

Or if you only have to do it once per day, then just do it at bed time.

Glad you posted this. I'm in the same boat with mercury and aluminum levels very high, and am now looking for alternatives for treatments. BTW, I see from your post, you're from Eugene...are you in Oregon?
Scott--we've talked earlier on the metal detoxing protocols and you sent me that great site regarding DMPS challenging. My ND still says it's safe if you do a colonic afterwards...have you heard anything regarding this process?
I'm also interested in what the supplements you are taking...do they include Alpha lipoic Acid? How does your protocol remove the metals out of your system? Does it require the "round the clock" supplmentation?

My LLMD had me use Alpha lipoic N-AC Cilantro + Chlorella in between my DMSA cycles. Much more reasonable than the pricey PDA NDF drops. Seems to be helping accorfing to my tests.

Earthsong--Good to hear from another NW local (well...not glad you have lyme..but good to hear that word is getting out about lyme in our area) If you have a moment, can you PM me and tell me how you found you had lyme and metal toxins? Also, how your treatment is going? Thanks!
Hi Foggy--I'm just getting into the metal detox protocols...what is DMSA vs DMPS (which is what my ND wants to do...)? How have you've been feeling with treatments?
Hey Scott--I looked into the NDF...but didn't find out what is in it or the price. Any info?
Also have any of you done colonics with metal detoxing? I've been reviewing DMPS articles, as well as just taking supplements (such as chelating blends ofNAC, Alpha lipoic Acid, Cilantro, apple pectin) and finding evidence on both sides.
So, some questions if you can help out: >How have you done with your individual treatments? >How long did it take to see benefits? > How do you do lyme treatments with the metal detoxing?
Thank you for any insight/comments/thoughts etc... JavaBeing

This is always a fun topic. I look forward to reading all the replies. For every opinion, there's an exact opposite. There's Andy Cutler, Rashid Buttar, Gary Gordon, Dietrich Klinghardt...The fun (and confusion) just never ends when you start tryin' to chelate those heavy metals...
I wonder about the ND who says DMPS is safe if you do a colonic afterward...doesn't DMPS chelate metals out through the URINE? If so, why would a colonic help, other than for general colon cleansing?
All's I know is a hair analysis that says low mercury means it's probably high...something about some bodies not even being able to excrete the mercury out into the hair...
Using the TD DMPS at night keeps me awake. There's a Yahoo group on Autism-Mercury and one on TD-DMPS, probably others.
