Hey Angel!

That definitely looks like a bull's eye to me.
Where in Texas are you? There are very few doctors that understand lyme around here. Most of them will rx 2 weeks of antibiotics and declare you cured- even if you aren't. Let me know and hopefully I can suggest a knowledgeable lyme doc near you.

Good Luck and Take Care...Terri

Hey Terry,

I am around the Beaumont area, but I was evacuated when I was bitten. I was in Huntington out in the back woods. lol

I actually had two ticks, but only one made a mark. The other healed right up. I did find the link to the Dr. that is in Lufkin.

You are right. They only perscribed 2 weeks. But, The 2nd dr. upped it, so I actually have 4 weeks. Not sure what to do about that.

I am so tired of the nausea, that four weeks sounds like a killer. lol

How will I know if all is cured?

Hi angel....Looks like a bullseye to me! I hope you can find an LLMD. Texas is really short on them!

PS.....would you please go back to the first pic and "edit" it out completely? It's making this thread too wide, which makes it difficult to read the rest of the thread.

You just click on the icon next to the date. The one that has the pencil and pad is the edit mode.

Thanks!!! [Smile] Glad you found us!

Thanks everyone. I have not visited the dr. in Lufkin that is LL. I just found her listed on here and looked up her link. So, should I take both rounds of the antibiotics?

Take all you can get. What do you mean by "two rounds?"

Good job on the editing!! [Smile]

Look up her link and go to the web site and email her. She usually responds quickly. Try to get an appt ASAP. She is awesome. She takes BCBS. Feel free to PM me if you have questions. I drive 6 hrs to see her. Don't waste any time and keep taking your meds. You have Lyme!

I know the picture takes up alot of space but just wanted to say thanks for having it up there. Last summer (2004) I was was out of state for several months and suddenly felt horrible and was exhuasted and I had a bite like that on my leg. I was concerned because it didn't go away and it got so bad I couldn't work or do anything but lay in bed. Doctors said it was a mosquito bite, and I pointed out that those go away and this didn't. Nobody told me to take a picture...Than last September I was back in my home state and got some odd places like that and one re-appeared in the same place on my leg. I have been beyound sick since that point and another doctor saw it and said it was a mosquito OR a spider and surely not lyme. OMG can you believe this?!? I am horribly ill now, and we believe that was at least the third time I was bitten. I was sick before but nobody knew why and now we know they never did the right tests. I am finally going to a LLMD and have started treatment. I wish somebody had know I had a bullseye when it happend and I wouldnt have suffered so much and for so long. Doctor told me a bullseye looks like the one you see on a dart board not what I had. Grrrrrrr....

Good luck to you and I am glad you found this forum for support and are getting treatment!

Hi everybody,

I am kind of double posting here. Sorry. I should have posted my picture under my other post. I am having many of the symptoms of Lyme now.

I have two rounds of abx because I went to two different dr.s One rx'd 250mg 3X a day/10 days and the other rx'd 500mg 4X a day/14 days. So I have both scripts. The 500 makes me so ill. I threw up after I took it last night. A lot of good that did me. lol

I think I will email that dr. in Lufkin. That is about 2.5 hours from me. Better than 6!

Thanks again!! I know this board is a lifesaver to many!!

Angel,

I am so glad you are going to see a LLMD right

away, you are in good hands. Read Dr K's

experience here.

http://www.rheumatic.org/rima.htm

I would consider 13 years and counting.....LONG

TERM!

Lymetoo - she was talking about the 1st 2 ducks she saw only prescribing for 2 weeks! Not DR K!

Angelintix: Glad to hear you are going to see a LLD.

Also don't forget to ask about co-infections.

Good luck. [Smile]

I had the same bite/rash as the one in the photo. I definitely have Lyme disease, plus babesia and possibly bartonella.

I finally read between the lines and realized that. I am so glad to know this because alot of people in TX are suffering and have few options as far as LLMD's.
