What kind of probiotics have you guyas been taking and what has worked and what hasn't worked?
I have read a lot of stories on threelac, positive as well as negative, what is your experience?
So far i have always taken Oragnis Prime Directive from Safe Remedies which I have done relatively well on. I am think about taking another probiotic at the same time, as many people say it is best to rotate various brands in order to get the broadest and most ocmplete possible spectrum of probiotics.

I take Primal Defense and Culturelle.
Both are stable.
Culturelle is at Walgreens.

Im another Primal Defense fan. I usually take 3 per day. Have been on antibiotics for over 18 months and no yeast. I do watch my diet carefully and take 3+G of Source Naturals Yaeyama Chlorella every day to keep all the toxins moving out of my system pdq.

Ive tried Primal Defense, PB8, Cullterelle, And Maybe for others that I can't recall the name of.
THE BEST ONE i have tried hands down is "Ultimate 10" from Vitaminne Shop Store. It is also cheaper than most. Of course, we are all different so who knows. The second best was Primal Defense, but to pricey and not really that great for me.

Essential Formulas. Loading doses = 5 pills ONE HOUR BEFORE BREAKFAST AND BEFORE LUNCH WITH A FULL GLASS OF WATER. One weeks supply = about $60.
Yes, expensive. Yes, worth it.
Then...switch to another brand and occasionally change brands for maintenance doses (minimum 1 billion good guys per day). They all contain SLIGHTLY different formulas (different beneficial bacteria)...try to cover as many bases as possible.

See my probiotics page on my site at www.BetterHealthGuy.com. Primal Defense contains a VERY low amount of probiotic cultures. I am not sure that it is as good as others. Send Garden of Life an email asking them for the probiotic counts, and they will readily admit they are quite low. I would not rely on it as the only source of probiotics that you get.

I rotate Orthobiotics and Metagenics before meals and bedtime. Then I take one capsule at night and open it and swish it in the mouth. Seems to work.

Consumer Reports, July '05 issue, page 35, lists a Quick Ratings Probiotic report. Of the probiotics they tested, I was surprised to see Primal Defense HSO in the lowest group.
Their highest rating had at least 10 billion - high level had 1-10 billion - lower level had less than 1 billion.
They rate TwinLab Super Acidophilus in their highest group along with others. In the high group, some that they list are PB8, Country Life Power-Dophilus, Natrol Acidophilus, too many to list, but it's worth reading if you can get a copy of this issue.
I don't know if they're right, but I think they are unbiased with regards to companies, at least that is what I think.
Don't really know what is right, but I follow their ratings on this because I know of no other ratings.
