im sure this was covered in another post, but i want to know if anyonelse has this. I woke up this morning legs shaky and hands shaky especially my left hand....i had to drive myself to the dr. Well, i got to this one road 2 lane road but it was only me on the road...and i started to get sick....pressure on my upper leg..and cold tingly feeling in my forearms...i started to sweat too.....it got worse when i had to stop at a light at an intersection and there were cars moving in front of me....sick feeling....like there was too much movement going on....it was sunny out as well, but i had my sunglasses on....and once again things looked more vivid to me. i have a dr appointment tomorrow and really hope i can get all of my symptoms across to him in hopes he might know what is wrong

HI cantgiveupyet
I have been in your shoes many times. Yes the driving with the Lyme can be quite unpleasant and sometimes just can't do it when it's really bad. I hope you get your Lyme under control, the driving/motion,movement, sick, anxiety, visual, cognitive problems will get better.
I couldn't drive for about a year at one point in time. I am happy to say I am back driving again with good agressive treatment.
Good luck, there are many of us who have or have had trouble driving at various times. Barb

I had this happen just last week. Although there are many days I have the typical brainfog, and have to go extra slow and stay in the right lane because I seem to be reacting in slow motion...anyway, I was routinely driving to work, and all of a sudden I was overwhelmed by the traffic coming toward me in the other direction. Even though there was a cement barrier between us, I suddenly didn't know if I was going the right direction or not, because they were going the other way, and I became very disoriented and scared. It was like a very bad dream. Does this make sense to anyone? I told the doc the other day that when I get out of the car I have my keys in one hand, and the other on the car door. I have to check my hand at least 3 times to see the keys in them (for fear I won't lock the keys in the car)before I can shut the door. My mind has been a terrible thing at waste! Good Luck! Jill

As a note of caution, be very careful mentioning this to any Doctor. In many states they are required to notify the State Motor Vehicle dept.
A friend of mine had casully mentioned to his Doctor that he got dizzy a lot and it somewhat affected how he drove. Doctor contacted DMV and DMV sent the local police to confiscate his license!!!!

OH YEAH - after being in treatment 4EVER - I still have probs driving!!!
I just try to limit it to around here - rural america!! To little town and back when at all possible!!!
I will say though - I mastered venturing to Conroe and the Woodlands over the weekend! I'm hoping it's a sign of "betterness" as it has been at least 4 years since I've even tried that!!
I do "ok" w/ me and only the other lane of traffic! It does get hairy on interstates or in town where I have to focus on more than one or two things!
I'm bad about "not seeing" red lights!! LOL
Scary but true lyme facts!!!

Hi, At the beginning I had all simliar experiences. I have never heard anyone mention anything about everything being more vivid. I thought that symptom was unique to me.
Within the first few days of being sick, I was driving and I had to pull over from such confusion. Also, experiencing similar things as you've described. When I looked up, everything was so vivid. It was a clear sunny day and I remember everything looked so clear with nice sharp edges and very vibrant colors. It was as though I had 100% perfect eyesight. I am nearsighted and wear glasses. This happened about 1.5 years ago.
I've gotten this one other time just recently, but without all the sickness. I am much better now, but still get some residual stuff.

I have been unable to drive for almost 3 years currently. I started having problems with sunlight making me afraid and sick. I also had confusion which was like a pain in the back of my neck that spread up the back of my head. I then had confusion. I now am stiff and weak. I am hoping to find treatment and be able to drive again.

My son has the same problem. I have to drive him most places. He can handle driving short distances ... about 10 miles or less. We have a long drive when visiting our doc. He usually complains of car sickness. My husband and I run a family dairy farm. When he helps on the farm with any tractor, he often will get sick after being on a tractor for a short time. He's been diagnosed with Lymes and Bartonella. It can't be much fun for either of you. Hang in there .... our doctor came back from the "big Lyme conference" He said there is lots of positive things going on out there. We gotta keep fighting.

wow, so im not alone....i just got back for the ER...as someone on here refered to it the "Duck Hotel".. i wonder what causes this eye problem....does it get better with treatment?
its so difficult to describe...but mike described exactly what I have...better then i could get it acros....if you wear glasses its what you see when you get a new prescription before your eyes adjust...everything is crisp....but in a very annoying sick making way.

I had the same problem. Sunlight made it especially bad, headlights at night were bad too. Cloudy dark days are still best for me.
Things would look vivid and eventually all the light would become blinding and I could not focus. I would need to take frequent breaks to rest my eyes. I allowed lots of extra time for this.
I am improving but still do the following to make driving possible: Wear dark glasses and a big hat I can tip to block sun. Scarf around neck and gloves or another scarf over my hands & arms. Time trips to avoid driving into the sunlight. Run errands at night when there is less traffic.
The sun exacerbates my symptoms and the car is the sunniest place I go.
I would frequently get lost since road signs became invisible to me. I would just keep driving. For long trips I stuck post it notes on the dash telling me the mileage for each turn. This would help me know how far along I was.

I wear the DARKEST prescription sunglasses I can get.
Then on www.themarshallprotocol.com I learned of the NOIR wraparound sunglasses that block all UV, blue light, & the other light...can't remember the name!
I have 2 pairs of NOIRS...the light & darkest! They have been a blessng to me. When it is the brightest outside, I wear the darkest shade.
Also at night time and NOT in town, I wear the light ones on the open road. They make oncoming headlights look like candles....easy on the eyes. I do NOT do much night driving at all, but this helps compensate for my displeasure.
If you go to the MP site, look for Aussie Barb's easy finder post and check the eye sight/sun glasses post.
If you decide to order these, mention marshall protocol to them and they will give you a discount that isn't mentioned otherwise!
