I've been on abx for a few months now. I think I'm getting a yeast problem. What kind of acidophilus is best? Does anyone use Three-Lac? I've heard it's good but I don't know if it works with abx.
Thanks for your help.

Hey there lingolady, I don't believe I ever used your threelac
I usually just get a good brand name in the healthfood stores...one's that you need to refrigerate are supposedly better than the one's you don't...
Maybe someone else will answer as to the best out there....zman

I use different types of acidophilus some with FOS, and some without. But acidophilus is only one part of yeast control. You have to kill the yeast to get rid of it. Acidophilus only replenishes your good bacteria, it doesn't kill yeast.
To kill yeast you must take either: Nystatin, Diflucan, or Caprylic Acid. Pau D' Arco also has antifungal properties. But it has to be in pill form to work best. I take a combination of Nystatin, Caprylic acid and Pau D' Arco.
Also, stay away from bread, sugar, anything made with flour or yeast. This diet really does help.

See the probiotics link on my site at www.BetterHealthGuy.com. You should also be taking an anti-fungal, RX or natural. Something with caprylic, garlic, etc. would be good.
