Hi again - I called my GP ( ex GP soon) b/c she had put me on biaxin for my sinus infection and I was having heart plaps from it.
Anyway long story short she gave me a VERY Hard time telling me she exhausted all possibilities and that I needed to have more realistic expectations when it came to treatment!!!
I let her have it...
But my question is she called in Zithro 250mg 7 days... I havent taken this in years as well and was wondering if the same risks of possible heart arrythmias also went with this drug?
I read it was erythromycin and clarythomycin....
anyway if anyone can offer and adivse I would appreciate it. I also would like some feedback if possible about Biaxin and its effects on the heart b/c I am thinking of pursuing a complaint against her and would like as much info as possible
she never offered me any kind of help such as am EKG etc.....
Anyway thanks if you can help!

some suggestions, that you should consider with an attorney in your state, and/or someone who knows your state laws.
get a COMPLETE cp of your medical records, including, if any, ALL of the actual medical images; if they are in the hospital, go there and get them. you just sign them out from the department name that usually goes under something like, "radiology and...," or "X-ray and...," and so on. when you have your records in hand, in the office, either sit down, or stand out of the way, and make sure you have ALL documents in the envelope or folder that should be there, including the initial intake office-form that you completed.
best to have someone with you, and/or have a tape recorder with you. i'd have one hidden and running when i entered the room, and the other not going. if, and when they give you a hard time about your records, or anything else, then you pull out the second tape recorder, and tell them your recording this dialogue...
if your records show a character assasination, a vicious psychiatric label of the month, statements imugning your character, reputation, integrity, and any of this refers to your visit during which you requested your records, you then have evidence, PROOF of that which the tape dictates that it is. check your state laws on tape recording, including recording your phone dialogue(s) with all healthcare personnel.
medical images: your allowed to sign out your own images to take to another doctor for interpretation. just go there and conduct your self in a perfunctory manner as if you've done this for a living.
way to go...take NO SHALE.
if you file a complaint, you must have proof of your accusations. often, this is extremely difficult to obtain.
see http://www.hmohardball.com and like-sites for template documents to modify to your individual situation. have them sign YOUR forms.

Hey Christine: Sorry to hear you had such a hard time with your GP.Last year I had a new GP yell at me and told me to get out of his office that I was wasting his valuable time.I was shakin mad for weeks.
Two/three years ago when I was on iv zith I had heart palps,PVC"S really scared me.MY LLD told me it was a die off ocurring in my heart. After several months they went away.
Went to see a cadio doc and had an echo which turned up normal. Before that I wore a halter monitor for 24 hour.
I think finding a LLD is very important for you now and also maybe you want to want think about seeing a cardio doc soon too.
Good luck and feel better soon dana

I get palps in general from Lyme however when I was on Biaxin my resting heartrate was a constant 110bpm. As soon as I went off it normalized. Had no reaction from Zithro at all.
Feel better, DawnE

ask a future doc how macrolides manifest on the ekg. waveform; they affect one or more parts of it, as do many drugs, minerals, vits. and just life.
search "macrolides + ekg [ intervals, or conduction}

I've never gooten palps from tetra, BUT I just started my Zithro last night and SAME thing!!
About an hour later my heart started pounding hard and I have this weird neurological sensation in the center of my chest ( only way I can describe it)
Anyway I was up all night debating whether to go to ER or wait until Monday and see the cardio...
I opted for Tomorrow b/c I have been down this road before and the ER will tel me its anxiety after about 6 hours or so of waiting and send me home.
My BP is normal and Pulse laying was only 62....although my heart was pounding....
Anyway I will be seeing my LLMD this week also....
Hopefully I can get to the bottom of this!
