Hi Kenny
Yes, I have trouble swallowing for months now. So much so all my food is chopped up into what could almost pass for baby food.. It sucks..and I do also have muscle twitching and pain in my neck and or throat. As a side note, have you seen a GI doctor? I understand it's the lyme but Lyme will also cause stomach issue's that can be helped through other stomach as well.. May be worth looking into..
When I have my scope in July I was diagnosed with Gastritis, a Hiatal Hernia, Duodenitis, Esophagitis and GERD.. Which really means I am completely inflammed from my small intestines, all the way up to my mouth and yes it's being caused by antibiotics AND Lyme disease...I would call a GI doctor and look into it before ya feel worse.. Anything that can help right?
Good Luck!

Bb has a propensity for residing in our cranial nerves.

The Six Cranial Nerves Involved in Speech and Swallowing

CN V - - the trigeminal nerve

CN VII - - the facial nerve

CN IX - - the glossopharyngeal nerve

CN X - - the vagus nerve

CN XI - - the spinal accessory nerve

CN XII - - the hypoglossal nerve

This is the way LLMD described my swallowing difficulties. This can also be what causes muscle twitching.

I have had swallowing problems now for 7 years that no one could figure out. It feels like the muscles in my throat are paralyzed. At other times it hurts so bad in the thyroid area that it feels like a golf ball is stuck there. The pain and discomfort comes and goes. It actually gets worse with treatment and now if it burns severely I get heart arrythmias from it which no one can seem to figure out. You are not alone.
