aside from my question on brain imaging I was wondering is it true that lyme can be passed from person to person with out a tick? Also my mother was pregnant with my little sister at the time we believe she was infected what is the likelyhood it was passed on inutero?

I think Heather answered that pretty well. It can happen, but if you ask a non-lyme literate dr, he/she would say no.
as for your second question, very likely....especially if the baby was breastfed.
