Well I have been on an IV for about 6 weeks now and I have not felt this good in about 3 years.
I am so happy. My mind works again, I have no pain anylonger...This is actually the first month I have had in the last 3 years with no herxing. No herxing!!!
I had pretty much lost all hope before this point. I had been on just about all the meds available and I never had much of any improvement. Finally there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Im not 100% yet and I know that I could backslide but I am just enjoying feeling normal again. Even if it is just for awile.
Whoooo hooo!!!

Wow! I am so glad for you, Merrie! One thing to remember is when your doc takes you off the IV, you should continue treatment with oral antibiotics for a couple of months to be sure you don't relapse.
Some of those buggers can hide out and the IV treatment doesn't reach them.
That is awesome news! I've been in treatment on orals for over 18 mos. now with limited success and have been wondering if IV is my next step. Good for you!
It is sooo great to hear that you are feeling better after 3 long years of battling it with orals. I hope this means you are licking this thing for good! Please keep us updated!
BTW,which IV antibiotic are you taking?

Yeah! I am happy you are feeling relief. We really ddon't know how sweet feeling normal can be until we have felt the effects of lyme.
I am praying for your continued wellness.
