About 1 day after starting tinizdole I began getting a return/incease in symptoms. I guess this is good, but I feel like hell.
I was gonna do Tinidazole for a whole month but now I am thinking just a week is enough for me.
Is tini known for causing depression?

Hi dear. Yep, tinidazole has depression as a side effect. It caused horrendous depression in me -- I don't know if it was the die off or the med. I know a lot of people pulse tinidazole (and flagyl); I think the depression problem is part of the reason for pulsing. I did some research on this a while back -- I can't remember all that I discovered, but even the vet reports discussed depression as a side effect of tini.
If I were to do tini again, I'd do it for a week a month, or 1 week on and 1 week off at the most. Resistance doesn't seem to be a problem with tini (but hey what do I know) but it took me a long time to recover from the depression -- I was on tini for 2 months straight, and it took more than 2 months to get over the intense depression it brought on.

I am on this also...(Tindamax). I take one twice a day for four days; then take four days off; and take 50 mg. of vit. B6 3 x a day.
So far I have only taken it for 3 four day sessions, for a total of 12 days. I had been warned by others that it could lead to depression; but so far I seem to be okay.
It did bring back some symptoms that I thought were long gone! Rib cage pain, ringing in the ears, and a strange tingling feeling all over. Kinda creepy feeling, but am hoping it's hitting the cyst form!
Maybe the pulsing is the key? Don't know. Good luck!

Jerry, Learn all you can .... it will help you get better. When you do get better help others who are new on the board.....that's what keeps this place going.
Mino and Nan ........ Thanks for telling me what I already should know. I know all this somewhere in my brain but it sure helps when someone verifies the info you once knew that you have forgotten. Does this make sense?
Anyway, thanks ......... I am going to go back to the couch now..... I think i remember where it is....

I am also on my 3 day of Tini - 500 3x day with biaxin 500 2x and amox 1000 3x day. I also noticed the night after my 2nd day the same as you. Its like it is waking up the bugs. Also getting some burning spots in some muscles. I also am getting a headach from it also - I did not know of the depression issues that can happen - glad to have read this here.

Hi there Robi,
I'm on Tindamax too. 500mg 2xday for 5 days out of the month. Whew, that's enough for me!!!
Thought I was one tough cookie but boy, it put me through the wringer.
By the 2nd day was noticing some fatique and by day 3 couldn't get off the couch.
Didn't really notice the depression because I was too tired! LOL!!
Could not for the life of me cook anything to eat for a couple of days and lived off tuna and crackers.
Course I'm on a few other orals too but am enjoying my one week off.
2 days after the Tindamax was back to my usual self.
Hang in there!!
