Has anyone been to the Kessler Clinic in Germany? If so, can you report on your progress with that approach? Thanks

Scott, never heard of it - which doesn't mean much. Do you have a more complete name?

I do not believe it is related. It is said to be a renowned clinic in Germany and I know one person with Lyme that went there and had very good results. Just doing my research on all the options and hoping for some feedback from people here. Best

I guess it's this guy
http://dr-kessler.com/de/index.php

Never heard of him before. He is doing an alternative approach with homeopathy and bioresonance, etc.

You will probably not get abx from him.

Could you find out more details fromt the person who has been there?

All of the details are on the site in terms of what treatments he uses, etc. I was hoping to get more input from people that have been to or know people that have been to the clinic. And yes, you are correct that he will likely not use ABX. His comment to me (which I am beginning more and more to believe) was that if you are using ABX to treat chronic Lyme, you are up sh** creek without a paddle....

hi,

I would suggest to increase the chance of getting an informed answer by directly asking people in Germany using their central Lyme Discussion Board: http://www.borrelioseforum.de/cms/html/modules.php?name=Forums

I don't know about this guy. Under the Homeopathie section he makes this claim; "which corrects the imbalance of Yin and Yang." I think the imbalance correlates to the patients money to his bank account.

Whats next is he going to tell me I am eating too much dairy or that I should stop showering with hot water?

Scott, if you had included the Ondamed in your question, it would have rung my bell:

Ondamed was discussed on this board several months ago. I am very familiar with the Ondamed, though Dr. Klinghardt does not use it.

From a Kessler Ondamed search:

"Wolf-Dieter Kessler, M.D., has been a physician for 28 years. His clinic in Northern Germany might be considered as one of the leading institutes for treating acute and chronic diseases. After he passed both state exams in Germany and in the U.S. he received a grant from the German Research Society and worked at Montefiore Hospital in New York. He was part of a team performing mainly electron-microscopical research on both human and canine transplanted lungs.

He was confronted with a health problem 25 years ago after contracting a chronic infection (Lamliasis and Coxsackie B4) in India and he became highly allergic to almost anything. The lack of satisfactory help in conventional medicine made him hunt for both: to advance conventional and complementary treatments.

In the late 80's he went into private practice in Germany, which today employs 20 qualified nurses. The encounters with ONDAMED have substantially influenced his therapy potential in his clinic. The ONDAMED device has become a "hand and hammer" tool to his clinic for effective therapy results.

He resides near Emden, Germany and in Georgia, U.S. and is determined to promote this revolutionary therapy to the global medical community. (Note that Dr. Kessler is not affiliated with ONDAMED and receives no financial contribution for this support).
You can read more about him on his website at
www.dr-kessler.com."

Take care.

Thanks Gigi. I have reviewed his site previously and also talked to Dr. Kessler last week live on the phone from his home in GA. I was hoping to hear about others that may have gone to his clinic to start some dialog around his approaches and outcomes. I have used Ondamed and personaly, I have found it to be of limited value. I am much more excited about getting my KMT this week... [Smile]
