I've done a search on this and read many good things, but have a ? for anyone that can answer.
Just checked my tsh level and it is 9.6(high). Was always borderline before.
My ?is does anyone here take cortef and have an abnormal tsh? Just started taking cortef because of sluggish adrenal glands.
Thanks in advance for your input!
BTW- My main sx is extremely COLD!!!!

Goodness! That's a very high TSH. Are you being started on a thyroid replacement?
I am hypothyroid also. I am always freezing cold! I actually kind of enjoyed the "gift" of early menopause (thanks, Lyme) at 45...got some hot flashes outta the deal and warmed up for the first time ever!!!!
I don't know anything about Cortef.
Make sure you had the whole thyroid panel done -- not just TSH. All your "free" levels (T3 and 4). Optimum TSH is between 1 and 2 in healthy people and NOT at the high end of the range suggested by labs.
