Do you think a person can get addicted to B-12? The best I felt in Lymehell was off abx and on daily injections of B-12 for two weeks. I forgot I was sick some of the time!!

B-12 is water soluable so you can't OD, right? So what harm is there? B-12 helps with so many things, seems hard to be without. Doc first switched my injections to every week, now every month, but I don't want to do that.

I can tell how much better I feel the day after I do the injection. It makes me more tired at first, go to bed early, but then usually wake up much too early. Even with the early awakening I seem to be able to get through the next day with greatly increased stamina.

Both my sister and I have trouble assimilating B vitamins, can never take B complex, makes us both nauseaous even if taken with food. Any other B-12 addicts out there?

mjo, have you tried b-12 sublingual vitamins. They disolved under the tongue for better absorbation. I've been doing them for over 2 yrs, but I was only do one 500 a day and then about 2 months ago I read that b-12 defiency should be 1000-1200 daily. Doubled my dose and I felt a great improvement.

Take care, Pam

Hi! Never tried sublingual B-12, but will do! Thanks. I might be a B-12 junkie, but don't get off on the needles.

ME [Smile]

I have never felt so good as when on the Methyl B12 injections...they help heal the nervous system. My LLMD said that the IM injections are important (and preferably Methyl B12) as it is the amount that gets to the brain that is important.

My memory is vague but I think the B12 also works by scavenging nitric oxide? Taking IM B12 is in Dr b's guidelines as a supportive therapy.

Methyl B12 makes me feel awesome! the best is when you take it daily for months before 9 am...the difference in your stamina is incredible! I was easily up at 8 am every day on the go!

Heehehe!! It makes me feel awesome too! I ran out and was dragging my b*** last week! I feel best too taking them everyday. I could "get by" with every other day, I think.

I am a tad disturbed by the aluminum in the solution. It's listed as 625mcg/L ... not much, I would guess....but...

Maybe i should try the sublingual too. What brand, Pam?

I feel the most benefit to my brain also! Which means alot!

I never felt like I needed the extra boost until that STUPID hospital infection this summer. GRRRR! [Mad]

My sublinqual b-12 is by Country Life. 500 mcg I do two under tongue to dissolve. There's 100 in the bottle and it cost me something like $8.

It's my morning pick me up. I don't like needles, it's certainly worth a try.

Take care, Pam

Can anyone tell me the difference in Lyme of the Methyl-B12 vs. Hydroxo-B12 for injection? Is one better than the other for Lyme? My husband has been on the Hydroxo form for 2 years for his pre-Lyme diagnosis of CFS and they do help a bit in terms of giving him more energy, but it seems like everyone in this thread is on the Methyl form...........just curious.
Thanks.

The hydroxy ones will still work but not as effectively as the Methyl I think...it is the Methyl B12 that dr b recommends.
