My boyfriend started doing some reading on ADD for himself (he was diagnosed with ADD as a child) and told me that he thinks I might very well have it (and worse than he does). I read through the books and as far as my concentration goes, they describe me to the T.

I've likely had Lyme since I was 4 so that's just about all of my life. All that I can remember, at least.

I was quite the daydreamer as a child and now I'm having these awful bouts of hyperactivity, can't pay attention to what he's saying even when I want to, want everybody to get to the point, etc etc. I'm having trouble with my classes; I simply CANNOT make myself study!

WARNING- I'm going to talk about sex now! So skip it if you don't want to know [Smile]

Probably the worst part is how it affects me in bed. I can't stay on the "task at hand" and it's pretty much ruining our relationship. I just want to get things over with!! I don't want to even kiss him or anything.

Part of it, of course, is the immense fatigue I have to deal with in the first place... but even when I want to have sex, I just can't focus. I'm thinking about everything BUT sex. I can't orgasm or stay aroused. Sex is NOT too enjoyable for me.

Does anyone have any experience with this? ADD or Lyme...or ADD FROM Lyme? Is there anything I can do besides wait for antibiotics?--I can't start until December 21 because of school.

Any articles I could read?

Thanks for your help!

I was first diagnosed with ADD over 20 years ago. Tried Ritilan in college and it made me to speedy.

About ten years ago was told I had a anxiety disorder. Effexor worked for about 3 years then got manic.

I was then put on Paxil and Adderal for ADD. It worked well for about 4 years.

Then the fatigue and muscle ache overwhelmed me, even when on the meds. I was sleeping on Adderal.

I was finally diagnosed with Lyme about a year ago. I am now convinced it was Lyme all along. These meds were just masking the symptoms until they no longer could.

I have lesions on my frontal lobe and pons. Still not sure if I have ADD but I do know I have Lyme.

Not sure if this provides you with any insights.

Take care and peace.
