I know a few people have posted about rashes....but none have been similar to mine.
I have a rash on my forehead, top parts of my cheeks, sides of my neck, chest, shoulders and upper back. Very small bumps like prickly heat..sometimes itches. My forehead feels like it is coated. Ive had this since beg of Oct. Somedays it seems to come out more then others. LLMD noticed it but said he didnt know what it was.
Thanks

I know herxing can cause rashes, but I'm not sure what kind. If your LLMD doesn't know what it is, I would go to a Dermatologist. It could be unrelated like allergies or histamine release. They can do a 24hr urine catch to see if you are release too much histamine. Lyme can cause mast cell mediator release, which in turn causes histamine release and inflammatory responses. I would definitely have it checked.

Alot of people experience rashes. And there's alot of opinions about what causes them - from patients and Docs.
You could always ask the Doc for a scrip of Minocycline, which is used low dose for acne in many people and see if that takes care of it.
I have had strange rashes in the past and each time Minocycline (30 days 100 to 200mg/day) has made it go away- and previous to that I had done thru the horrendous Dermalologist route- including steroid cream and Elidele which didn't touch it.
