Did you just start on it? It can cause problems with your gall bladder....which could cause nausea.

Hope you're feeling better soon!

I've been on it for 12 days, counting today 11/25). The first couple of days when I started, I couldn't hold any food down. I started Zithromax also and it was my second day on it when I vomitted after eating.

Oh boy. Better get an ultrasound of the GB. Are you taking milk thistle?

My husband is on day 10 of rocephin - he felt a bit nauseous the first couple days - very bloated. But it then went away and he never actually threw up.

When you take Rocephin, you should be on Actigall at the same time. Rocephin is known to cause gallbladder sludging and stones. It is preventable, and it also is reversible when you stop taking it. It may not be that, since if you run the drip to quickly, you get nausea.
Zithromax can irritiate the stomach lining and colon too...make sure you take your pills AFTER you eat a full meal.
You may need a abdominal ultrasound to check your gallbladder. In the meantime, take milk thistle and actigall!
