I just wanted to tell you all that classic homeopathy seems to be giving amazing results in my case.

My homeopathic physician prescribed me a Borrelia burgdorferi 200K ("globule-dosis", as it's called in French) for a month, then parallel to that a symptomatic treatment with globules.

After my condition stabilized (no more frequent night sweats, less cold, infection was 'controlled', arthritic pains no more spreading, almost no more stabbing pains etc) he prescribed me a 20-day cure (very personalized, I take one pill a day of different substances and potencies).

I just started this 20-day cure but already feel amazing improvement.

Just wanted to share that with you all, that it may worth to try to find a good classic homeopathy doctor (best if also physician who understands how to read all results from exams, etc).

I'll let you know about this second step of homeopathic treatment in about a month! If it worked really or failed, but for the moment I have a very positive feeling.

I was bitten by a tick in June 2005 and got positive western blot/ Elisa, and quite a few symptoms of lyme. So I was not sick for a long time. I'm still being tested for Babesia and other co-infections, but I feel quite well now, almost as though I am not sick anymore.

Still got light arthritic pains, feeling of cold is getting better, no more insomnia, I even feel improvement in sound sensitivity, stabbing pains, heart palpitations etc. The only thing that remains is fatigue, but only for 2 hours a day (evening).

Glad your feeling better Selma. No one would argue with you that supplements can help lyme patients greatly, however, abx should be part of the solution.

Are you currently taking any abx at all ?

You are very fortunate. I was treated by a world renowned homeopath for several years before I was finally diagnosed with Lyme. He was unable to help me, even though in the past I had good success with homeopathy.

I studied homeopathy for a while. Some of the doctors believe that if the remedy has not yet been discovered for the patient, then they will not improve. Its not as simple as just making a Borrelia rx. It wouldn't work for everyone.

So, as I say, you are fortunate that they were able to find a remedy that is working for you. I hope you continue in your progress. [Smile]

I like hearing about homeopathy working for people.

After personally failing to see any results with several homeopaths, my hope that it might help me has dimmed. I think most Lyme cases are too complicated to respond to a single homeopathic remedy as prescribed by a "classical homeopath." I now wonder what homeopaths' success rates are, or if they even care.

10 years ago, I developed Lyme symptoms but was negative on the ELISA test. Drs never could identify my illness but kept throwing rounds of antibiotics at me in hopes of hitting the right one. Doxy was one of the meds. After 6 mths I healed I thought. Not sure now, as since then I developed migraines, stiff neck problems, hearing loss and short term memory problems. No more pain though until 3 mths ago. This time diagnosed as Lyme and Dr is treating homeopathically. I don't think the antibiotics 10 yrs ago cured me. I'm hoping the homeopathy will. I realize it doesn't always work, but there is plenty of evidence on this website that abx don't always work either. I like the safeness of the remedies versus the damaging side effects of antibiotics.

HI guys, I am feeling MUCH better!
I'm not on abx at all. No one gave me any, even though I have quite some amoxy at home just in case. I'm being tested for many possible co-infections, but it does seem that the level of infection in the blood has gone down.

I posted the other stuff about post lyme syndrome because that's what the last doctor I saw told me. He explained to me that the other doctors didnt' want to medicate me for lyme because they probably thought I had post lyme syndrome and those were my symptoms at that time (arthritis, stiff neck, night sweats, palpitations, etc).

But now I "only" have arthritic pain in the left knee and a little in my left arm, but that's all. Even the cold feeling seems to have been almost totally gone. Nothing in the heart for the last few days, and I even could take a nap in the afternoon (an impossible thing to do before, as I was so tense before). Now I feel relaxed as I havent' felt for months!! And nothing special is going on in my life for that so I'm feel it's the lyme that's going away. Fingers crossed!

So I didn't treat with abx except for 10 days amoxy given by my dentist in October.
I started salt/ C for a few weeks, also felt improvements, but then started to wake up with swollen hands/ feet, then I just gave it up this last Monday for good. Since then, I only feel I improve.

Just wanted to share that with you all. But I didn't discard abx yet, I'm still waiting for exams in Belgium, the physician there was nice and I sort of trust him for the moment!

My homeopath knows me for years, and he did say "Let's see if you can get rid of this disease in less than a month". I diddn't believe him in the moment, but now that I'm on the 5th day of his 'cure' I feel so good that I start to believe him!! He told me to make a test again after that, but I'll do it in the end of January to see. I'll let you all know if it works or not!

Not a doctor in the Netherlands, but in Belgium. His name is though dutch/flemish, a Dr. Van B (the lyme specialist).

The homeopath is another one Dr. Van W. (another flemish name!).
