Everytime I take a hoth bath my brainfog becomes much worser. Anyone have the same expercience or can explain this?

Me too.The brain fog gets much worse.I am totally out to lunch.
Make sure to eat something salty before and drink lots of water before and after.
For me when I take my abx I think the hot bath help and I herx worse after them.I try to take at the end of my day so I don't blow my whole day.I also add alot of ingredients to the water.
I also like hot baths as a good detox tool for me..Any way I can work up a sweat is good for me..Because I don't sweat very easily.But make sure to replace your electrolites.This could be why your brain fog is worse?
I try not to spent more than 20 minets in them.How long and how hot is your baths?
There was a good post about a month ago under hot baths.It had alot of good info on it from both sides of the issue.

My baths are as hot as possible. Mostly I take a bath for half an hour. Are you still be able to do your work? What do you think, has it something to do with blood flow or herxing?

Heat dilates the blood vessels. More nutrients...including oxygen in RBCs... delivered.
Cold (for about 20 minutes only) reduces inflammation. After 20 minutes = rebound effect ie., constriction.
To heal an injury...oftentimes the application of cold and heat are alternated.
Or...you could get into a sauna for several minutes and then go out and romp in the snow...as some do.
(Or alternate hot and cold when in your shower as tolerated.)
The alternating of hot and cold is believed to stimulate the immune system.
Nitric oxide, NO, also causes blood vessels to dilate IF the vessels are healthy. Problems if the vessels are not healthy.

Inflammation of the bloodvessels can this been seen on a spectscan or petscan?because i think this will lead to blood flow problems

I've been doing detox baths for over 2 yrs. What I've found to help is not to get the water too hot. Very warm, up to being comfortable in it.
I can only soak for 10-12 minutes before I get light headed. It's time to get out. My mind will get foggy after if I over do it.
I do 8 oz water before, and 8 oz water after to help with detox.
I use only 2 cups epsom & 1 cup baking soda. I wrap in my heavy robe after and cover my feet to continue to hold heat in my body. I then do some chores around the house to keep my temp up also. I will make bed, sweep or dust floor, light chores for several minutes.
Two years ago my detox baths were very taxing on me. But things are different today. These baths can really get me going. Make me feel like a new women for a little while anyway.

Anything extreme, such as extreme exercise or extreme heat, is not a good idea, because the danger of moving more neurotoxins into the brain than out of the body is real. I know several marathon runners that ended up with MS symptoms just because of this exposure. If it is not comfortable and relaxing, I would not do it.
Not even the Sauna is a good idea in the early stages of detox, no matter what you think you are detoxing. Most of the time it's not a herx, but moving of toxins of one sort or another.

What an interesting thread. I also get very lightheaded when I take a bath - so I seldom do. My baths have to be really hot.
However, I do Ai Chi in a pool that is usually around 92-94 degrees. We stay in the pool for an hour. When I come out, I feel great. A little tired from the physical workout, but my mind has not suffered at all from my time in the water. Temp seems to be the difference.
A hot tub, on the other hand (usually around 104 degrees) I can only tolerate for about 10 minutes.

When detoxing, whether it be exercise or salt baths, etc., how can one control the pathway of movement of toxins out of the body? How can one avoid the danger of moving more neurotoxins into the brain??
And I for one have a hard time determining whether I'm in an "early stage of detox" or other. My toxin levels are quite high and I don't feel I've made much progress reducing the load.

A "functional" MRI of the brain - they give a dye to determine the health of the vessels can be done. It shows if vessels are narrowed, blocked, etc.
My son had seizures. He had this done. I have the report.
Narrowed vessels "insignificant"...yea, right...want a bet?

I can't take hot bathes, it makes me feel really sick, weak, dizzy, and I feel like passing out in only a couple minutes. I can't tolerate heat either. I can have the bath water warm but not hot. Kathy

well I don't know what you guys are talking about. Hot baths help clear my head up...in fact, I'm just getting ready to take one now...and while I loathe cold weather, I've found excessive exposure to hot temperatures {during the summer in oklahoma} to be conducive to my feeling much better. my summer routine consists of:getting as much exercise and sunshine as possible in 90+ degree weather, and drinking as many clear liquids as my body can handle.
winter, on the other hand, is a terrible time for me. I literally count the days until March 1. actually, I tell myself that if I can make it to febuary 1, I'm almost home...but the next two months, ughhh...I live in northern oklahoma, and it does get pretty cold sometimes in the winter...and the wind is awful, the north wind, it comes straight out of the canadian arctic and nothing stops it.
oh well...at least I don't live in the northeast or upper midwest like a lot of you guys...that must really suck.
