Hi,

I have been wondering if anyone out there ever experienced hand pain when they went into the water? I thought I was crazy the first time it happened in a pool. Then it happened several other times as well as at the beach.

The pain became excruiating to the point where I had to get out. Even if I was just up to my shins.

I have been sick for eight years and was diagnosed this past April. I had the first attack of this kind of pain in 2000.

Thanks to all out there, sharing to help us "newbie lymies" learn the things we need to get us through it.

Hello, and welcome!

I'm so glad you finally got a diagnosis and found us here!

I get this with my scalp if the water is quite cold. When our water heater went kaput, I remember having excruciating pain while washing my hair at the sink.

I think it may be nerve-related.
