I dont know if i have IC or not...but if it wasnt for this bladder discomfort this would be more tolerable for me. The chest pain i had is subsiding...now its onto the bladder again.

These are the bladder symptoms i have.

Twinge in the bladder area when i have to pee...it makes me jump if i am sitting down.

Lower right back pain.

pelvic pain, on left side mostly...feels like something is tearing in that area.like my tendons are ripping....some burning.....very painful. pain increases during menses...although this month was less then last month.

I just went to the bathroom and there was a delay...and I only went a lil bit compared to the horrible feeling that i had. ..and now it burns a bit.

The pelvic pain and bladder are my worst symptoms....they never seem to go away...i also have a wierd feeling in the bladder area nerve ending type pain....

I tried doing a search and no one that i could find had this pain....the bladder along with the pains on the sides...like ovary type pain.

I had a ct scan of all my stomach organs and pelvic area, when i went to the ER last month for similar pain...nothing was found.

thanks for your replies

Do you have endometriosis? I used to have pain in the pelvic area [left side] and it was endo. The pain from my IC is much as you described, but can be excruciating. My ONLY relief from pain was WHEN I was peeing!

I would make sure you don't have a bladder infection. Unless you are on abx that will specifically cover that, it IS possible to have one while on abx.

Did you check out these sites?

Hope you feel better soon!!!! I know you're going through tough times.

Hi cantgiveupyet,

I have had very bad pain in my lower left pelvic area, for me it was my bladder. I finally tried some meds for urinary pain relief and it worked.
The sell it over the counter...Uristat.

If you think it is your bladder then go to your doctor and get checked for a infection, you may need abx for that. I know I didn't go right away myself and I ended up with a bad urinary track infection.

I hope you feel better soon, I know how painful it is. [Frown]

Thanks lymetoo....

I had similar pain last month and had 3 urine tests all came back negative...im going to the duck on wed...and im going to tell him about this pain and see what he thinks (he just might be able to find something this time) my mom has a bladder infection now and has very similar pain to me...yet like i said i had the same pain last month and all tests negative. Im so warn out.

I will research endo...dont know if i do have that. Sometimes it feels like that whole area is disconnected....these bugs sure know where to hit dont they??

I used to have lots of bladder pain too. Never could find a bacterial infection.

When I started aggressive yeast management with long term abx, the pain has all gone. My guess it was systemic yeast. I actually feel better now during treatment than before lyme.

Also found I have a gluten sensitivity, which I'm guessing aggrivated the yeast.

I hope it is something simple.

Cantgiveup, Wow this sounds just like my bladder, and is it ever painful. I find night times as the worse. Awoke because of the agony, and then you feel as tho there is a full bladder and only a very small amount comes out, and then the back pain kicks in once you lay back down. I use a heating pad on my back, which really helps ease the pain.

I was tested numerouss times for bladder infection, but negative. I just make sure I keep the probiotics going in.

Pain patch, and now morphine has helped me greatly, the gyno-urologist has mentioned of inserting a stimulator under the skin to help the pain, but I am leery of that.

Yes, these bugs certainly love to hide out in the most peculiar places.

I have been a reading lurker for a long time, but this subject caught my attention, and I truly know how you are feeling, good luck.

Hey Mary,

Im glad you came out from lurking. :-) They love my bladder....i often say if it wasnt the bladder, well i would be ok...the numbness is something you can ignore....but the bladder not so much.

I will try the heating pad....and see how that helps. I will keep at the probiotics too.

Thanks again for commenting.........helps to know im not alone with this. Damn lyme living in our bladders!!!

I get that pain too. We've posted this one before but it always good to keep up to date!

The pain I get is incredibly sharp and will just suddenly come on when I have a wee - it's quite different from a bladder infection , but always good to get checked for that if you haven't been already. The pain is a really tearing pain, that doubles me up and if I try to straighten up it hurts even more.

I also get terrible mid cycle pains that last for about 7 to 10 days - had everything checked out & investigations but nothing was found. Very frustrating! At this time of the month I also get something called levetor syndrome (I think!) which is literally a pain in the bum!

All hormone -or lack of it -related, I think.
