i am new to this site, i love it so much allready and think that for the first time in 6 months i dont feel so alone in this crazy thing that is my life.
first off, i have been actively researching everything that i can, which for me is hard because of the large amount of info out there, it is hard to tell what is what.

One thing i know is each and every post i read on this site only proves to me that we are all in search of the same thing, to be healthy and our own little versions of normal. what ever that may be.

i feel like i can trust a couple of people who have lyme more than some of the docs i have seen.

Well sorry for the rambling its just that when i have like a couple good days, it usually means a couple shi**y days are on the horizon for me, thats the way it works for me anyway, hey i am not complaining at least i can experience good from bad now which alone i know is improvement.

well i guess i am leading to my question here, i learned early on in this game that it was going to be up to me to figure out a lot of this stuff, try to learn as much as possible so i could know what i was dealing with and this is what i am dealing with.

i have been taking abx, for alost 4 months now, been dx since july 4, 05 i am on doxy 100 mg. twice a day, this whole time and at first this was really doing well, i was starting to feel so much better but now it is just leveled off, my doc who is supposed to be llmd? is very vague with me sometimes, but after putting a few posts on this site, people have expressed to me that 200 mg of doxy is not good enough and that i am in the golden window of this thing in a time where i can really aggressively fight this nasty crap.

what do you folks think, she wants me on this protocol for like 3 more months before trying anything else.does this sound right, have any of you had luck with this dosage.

she said that after the next three months that she could try tetracylcine 500 mg, threee times a day and go from there, but because of how early i caught it she said she would like to stay on the low dose.

i am thinking of finding new doc in the CT, area, i was going to move back to CO to get on with my life but now i think i am putting on my gloves and going rocky on this spiro.

Sorry for rambling on but before i found this site i just accepted everything she said for her 100 dollar 20 min appt. and went home, i read all your posts and see how aggresively most of you treat this thing, and if i really am in some kind of golden window right now then i want to fight this fight like no ones buisness.

she made me feel like take two a day, youll be fine in a couple of months, its just "persistant"
that is not the case like alot of you know.

SO help this confused guy out, i know none of you are DR's but to be honest with you i trust you (strangers more than a lot of the docs that have met with me so far) and we are or will be all speacialists in our own right along the way with this DIS-EASE

SO HERES MY QUESTIONS
llmd in CT?
diet while on meds treating lyme?
suppliments, or vit while treating lyme?
exercising? is it ok.
should i be doing more?
PROBIOTICS< WHAT KIND

i dont know that is all can think of other than the chapter i just wrote, anyone who responds thanks i appreaciate it from the bottom of my heart, and i admire and respect all of your struggles, success stories, and journeys, thank you, DJ LYME

PS i am not being lazy here i have found alot of these answers through this site and other places but i am interested in your personal accounts of what works with you, i trust that more than alot of stuff i read, knowing i just the six months i have gone through is all about trial and error.

DJ Lyme:

I've been on antibiotics since July and I am on 4-100 mg. doxycycline, 2-500 mg. biaxin per day and once a month flagl. At first I could only tolerate 1/2 but over the last few months have upped to full dose. We are treating aggressively.

Also taking supplements, vitamins, antifungal, hormones and antiviral.

Hope this helps

I just replied to your PM. Let me know if you need anymore info.

(I don't think 200mg of doxy is enough. I am taking 400mg doxy plus 200mg of diflucan daily)

When I finally got my diagnosis I got in touch with a lyme group in Ohio.

I asked the duck for IVabx's immediately but was refused.

Was on ammox and doxi for six months and got symptoms down to three days a month...

Came off abx's and relapsed big time in a month and a half.

If it were me I would tell my llmd to give me something stronger for longer...IM or IV abx of some kind and supplement with flagyl.
