Hello,
I really need to start being serious about taking Magnesium. I just don't know how much is too much and what type I should take. I am starting to have some Head Zaps that are very scary and feels like I am having little seizures. Twitches all over and constant migraines. Will Magnesium help?? I also have POTS.
I have Lyme and Babesia.

My muscle fatigue, twitching, and cramping was constant. I stated taking magnesium after reading Dr. B's guidelines, recommending magnesium for muscle fatigue. I bought magnesium citrate in the health food store, took it for two months and didn't notice any improvement. So I ordered Niche Pharmaceuticals brand, Mag-Tab, Dr. B's choice.
I've been taking the Mag-Tab for three months and I have seen marked improvements. I think it's worth trying.

I took magnesium citrate and had horrible stomach cramps. I switched to magnesium glycinate (at the suggestion of someone on this board) and slowly ramped up to 500 mg per day. This is the amount my doctor recommended. I believe the brand is Doctor's Best.
