In an attempt to gain weight I went off the no sugar diet...i had no choice i was dropping too much weight.....and i dont know if that has anything to do with my numbness returning or if this is part of the non stop herx i am having.

Its just frustrating....i believe the doxy is causing terrible acid problems in my stomach and throat...i have no appetite...ugh.

And on top of all of this found out my LLMD did call me back on Sat...but i left my cell phone at home....and voice mail was full because ive been too sick to delete msgs...sigh.

I go back and forth between being so determined to beat this thing...and happy to be alive....to crying and just wanting this all to end very soon.

If it is a yeast flare then how am i ever going to gain weight. sigh.

Nuts!! Eat nuts!! [Smile]

Go thru this list and check off all the foods you LIKE that are on the safe list.

If you allow yeast to get the upper hand, you'll really be miserable!

thanks lymetoo, you always come to my rescue...and i am very miserable. Herxing and possible yeast flare not good combos. I hate the numbness and tingling....but my bladder doesnt hurt.

Thing is my LLMD wasnt concerned about my diet....sigh

I will take a look at the list and hopefully will be able to return to the diet tomorrow...

I am almost certain this is a yeast flare because last time i got this numbness i had a lot of sugar..... i jus wish there was an easy way to tell....lyme vs yeast.

Nuts, rice cake and rice crackers, popcorn.

Every now and then, I have a moment of sheer badness, when I just want to have a piece of cake or a bowl of ice cream.

It happened the other night, and, I swear, Cant, within 3 or 4 minutes, my fingertips started going numb. The correlation was too great for me to attribute it to anything else.

Made me mad, but I realized that's what I risk if I do this. By the way, the numbness is the only thing I experienced...none of my other symptoms flared, but I definitely dealt with that.

Andiee mine happend within minutes of me having the sugar as well...i was like oh NO not again...ugh...and now i am more numb then i was the first time all this happend.........all because i was dipping below 95lbs. I dont know how i can gain weight or maintain it on the yeast diet... but im going to try going back on it tomorrow.

I just hope i can shake the numbness.. and the sore stomach/burnt throat feeling.

I would be delighted to donate some of the excess weight I am carrying around to you, if we could figure out how to do it.

Hi Cantgiveupyet,

I had the same problem with weight, i could not keep it on, i was loseing tons of weight, but this was before i knew what was going on. i was so incredibley thin , i wasnt absorbing anything.

Then my wonderful doctor suggested that i make myself two highprotein shakes a day. I use Bluberrys, Bannanas, almond breeze, fish oil, pom juice and Gotein from The Garden of Life. I also USED sp complete witch is also a powder form of protein.

Then i also put probiotics and caprylic acid in it to combat any yeast giving me trouble.

After three weeks of them i gain fifteen pounds back and it help heal my stomach tremendously. It is also a great source of antioxidants. But remember this was before antibiotics.

Now i am down to one shake a day just to get all they benifits of it. It Is very healthy for you. I also found out that Bartonella was the cause for my weight problems, Now that i am getting treatment for it i am having to watch my weight so i dont gain to much. But its pretty easy, the non sugar, other than natural and smart carb diet is keeping me right were i want to be. Oil of Oregeno also helps with the yeast.

Yes i still have all the other wonderful problems with lyme and bart but atleast i dont have to worry about my stomach as much anymore, still some problems because of antibiotics, but thers no way around that.
