I am into my second month of Tetra. I have been feeling good some days and like crap others! Sometimes I have the arthritis feelings, stiff hands, sore joints, vibrating legs, some spasms, fatigue.
My sleep has improved greatly over all. I just wish this was like bronchitis and could be gone in a few days. I am trying to keep a cool head about things and go on with my life, but sometimes it gets you down.
How are you guys doing? I hope you are all making progress!

Hey Boston,
Good to hear you are on the road. It's up and down. Sounds like you are in pretty good spirits.
This seems to be a bad cycle week for me. I'm looking forward to the next three weeks. It's going to be a year of treatment in January.
I've been sick for 8 years. I beleive at the rate I'm going I think I'll be better in a year more.
Don't worry it goes by fast. Slow and steady wins the race.

Hey Bostonlyme2005
Good luck with your treatments! Don't forget to space your pro-biotics at least two hours after or before abx.
Drinks lots of water and try and get some rest when you can.
And remember try to be good with your diet. This is what held me back in the beginning. No sugar no carbs. It feeds the yeast and the spiroketes..The very enemy your trying to kill.
Take care and never give up God bless

This is my second month of abx too. I am on doxy. The first month was like Mr. Herxheimer showed up at my house with all of his friends and they all had a party in my guts.
This month even though my dose was doubled I am taking it like a pro with no herxing (thank you probiotics and digestive enzymes). This is good news, but I find it oddly disconcerting. Like I'm living in a perpetual state of anticapatory drumroll waiting for the proverbial shoe to drop.
Anyway...good luck and glad you're hanging in there...it is amazing how this takes such a long time, I agree.
Cheers,
Alison

Thanks guys!
I was told that I could eat whatever I want, no restrictions re: diet. I do however eat well and try to drink lots of water as well.

The biggest difference I have found in our treatment is what our doctors allow us to eat. Even when I have changed doctors.
The main no-no is sugar. Simple sugars feed the yeast. Complex carbs are good for you, like green veggies. Stay away from high sugar fruits like bananas. Just common sense...and as little sugar as possible.

Hi Rob, Glad you made it through the first month of tetra. That was the hardest one for me (December 04).
I had the vibrating legs thing for many months. It was especially bad in my feet & ankles. Podi Patch Originals www.akgnaturals.com stopped the vibrating for me and made me sleep better.
I also recommend looking into the anti yeast diet sooner rather than later. I like the lists at www.wholeapproach.com

Rob, The first two months of treatment were definitely my most difficult. My symptoms were different than yours, but it was still just horrible.
Like Hats, I used detox foot pads -- not the podi pads but others I got on ebay. They've been very successful for me.
Hang in there; it does get better.

Well, this is a refreshing thread!! Glad to hear you're doing so well, BL.
Hubby seems to be on a bit of an upturn now, so he's going to start the Zith again. Just going to start once a day to begin with.
He's been on antibiotics about the same as a few of you..a couple of months. Has responded well, but the herxes have been pretty rough. One major one, and another one when he started the Zith.
Yes, they say, slow and steady, but it sure is frustrating!
Best wishes to all.

Rob, It sounds like things are aboout on schedule. Thankfully, I continue to do well but, due to my LONG infection, my doctor and I plan for me to stay on antibiotics indefinitely.
