If it was me I would halt Plaquenil and cut back on Biaxin. Your back pain may be a sign your organs are packing up with toxins. You should be taking Milk Thistle..... work the bacteria load down gradually over time.
Just my $.02 which is equal to, or greater than, all the combined forces of the AMA, CDC, CIA, AAA and AA.

I can't totally Relate! I've been on biaxin and doxy for 4-1/2 months now and I'm in extreme pain. My skin is burning. Can't eat. Totally overwhelming. Is this considered herxing?

I've been on Biaxin, plus anti-protozoa and herbals for about 6 months and treating Bb and Babes. Did major herxing months before all this but never on Biaxin so my bacteria load must be down now. I have however experienced lower back pain while taking Biaxin which went away after reducing dose temporarily for 12-24 hours and taking more Milk Thistle. I don't concider this backtracking, just adjusting the dose.

Mimi, I hate to tell you this but, you asked? My last 2 years of abx I stayed in a constant herx. That's why I had to go another route. I decided rife was the way I was going. Each one of us is different.
I waxed and waned the first 1 1/2 on abx, then a turn for the worse happened and disabled me. Abx became my enemy. I pulsed and did everything I knew to lessen the herx, couldn't handle it.
Take care, Pam

Bugmenot, thanks for the clarification I did not take my abx last night. Thanks for the advice
Pam, hi and thanks for the advice I have been thinking about you and hoping you were doing well. Well I am still rifing for detox and support only and drinking detox tea and so much water. Last night I did the castrol oil pack and heating pad over my spleen and liver. I feel worse today but I know it is from the toxins moving. I will try all I know again today. I am supposed to go out of town in the morning for Christmas.
Treepatrol, Thanks your advice might be the least painful way to go. I don't have any pain meds. but yes I do take nyquil to sleep when I am this miserable. Thanks , again
Thanks to all of you
Merry Christmas or HappY Holidays, mimi
