Hi, I have recently learned about Lyme Disease and its symptoms after a friend was diagnosed. I have had similar symtoms to her, and am obviously now concerned for my own health. My main symptoms are;
Dizziness
Palpitations / heart flutter
Fatigue
Upper back and neck pain, kind of shaky muscles
Feeling of fullness in head, particularly left side.
Clicking painful knees
Feeling of my head being stuck in a fog
Emotional disturbance
Inability to sleep soundly.
These symptoms all came on reasonably suddenly back in late summer, some have got worse, some improved then returned. My doc has been reasonably unhelpful, suggesting the usual beta blockers for anxiety, counselling, painkillers for back, etc. I have given up work as I could not continue, but have a four year old, who is almost as much work as a full time job! It is immensely frustrating knowing that there is something wrong, but reaching a brick wall with my doctor. My relationship is suffering as I am not the enthusiastic fun person I once was!
Can anyone help?Does this sound like Lyme to anyone out there, and where do I go from here, considering my doctor is unwilling to go any further with me?
Thank you all.

Amber, also check out TREEPATROL'S NEWBIE LINKS and go to blood testings:

IGENEX, MD LABS, AND BOWEN to be tested for your tick and/or co-infections of lyme!

Tree gave you wonderful links for a newbie to start with.

Amber, also please edit your long paragraph to 6-8 lines of text and double space for us chronic lymies who can't read/comprehend long paragraphs! Thanks for helping us help you out.

Gee, sounds like all of my symptoms and I have Lyme. I would see a LLMD and get tested if I were you.

Good luck,
Lisi

Sounds like lyme to me, If the emotional problems are really bad along with anxiety you may want to check out bartonella to. It is a co-infection that can come along with lyme.
