Oh brother!

I hardly slept at all last night. I woke up feeling like my arms and legs were made out of lead-litteraly!! My right arm and hand kept cramping up really bad all night long too. Today I did a bunch of baking and now I am really paying the price for that!!

I have a massage scheduled again tonight-that should help. Also, I think I need to go back on some antibiotics. My right arm and leg did feel weak while on Bicillin IM, but when I totally quit ALL the antibiotics a couple weeks ago, things have just been getting worse!

My arms and hands feel weak. Thats hard to describe. They actually just completely tire out very easily. However, I can pass a strength test with no problem! My joints are also killing me!!

I tried some of the detox tea again today and have been drinking a TON of water!! I am doing pretty good so far with all that. Anyone else get arm weakness and some of these other crappy symptoms I listed?? Man, its exhausting fighting through the symptoms every single day.

Nancy

I have the same problem that you have, but it effects my legs.

Muscle spasms, aches, pains wake me up and bother me during the day. Also leg weakness. Not to mention I have no sense of balance.

I have to use a walker.

Do yourself a favor and take it easy. If I do anything other than what I know I can do, I am too exhausted to get to work, and I have to do that. Sometimes it takes me a couple of days to recover from going to a wedding, for instance.

I have the same symptoms as both of you and am still trying to figure out if I have lyme or not.

Nal, I also pass the strength tests so the neuro ducks say I am normal. I have seen 3 of them. The third one said I have fibromyalgia.

I asked him then why are my legs so weak. He had no answer.

The symptoms change all the time. Last Friday I developed severe burning in hands and feet. Well, that has subsided some but now I have severe pain all over. I'm not sure if it's muscles, spasms or what. I even feel sore lumps under the skin. The worst of my pain is shoulders, neck, calves, hips, shins. It's just so ridiculous. It's the kind of pain that makes you want to die.

Do you guys have this stuff too?

Patti

Thanks Monica. It just bites. My right hand keeps wanting to try and curl under too. Ive had this darn thing for over 6 years now although they do think I may have contracted it as a kid. Good grief! So since I have had it so long, does that mean the chance of curing it is pretty slim???

I am exactly the same as you. I pass the strength tests, but can't hold a pen or a fork. I can't lift anything with any weight at all, can't squat (well, can squat, just can't get up), all that.

Cramps wake me, feels like I'm being shot with a nail gun.

Was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 13 years ago. Did well with treatment, but this pain is so much different than that pain. My fibro pain was specifically in the fibro points and radiated from there. There are trigger points for that (check online for a diagram).

I haven't worked since Sept. partly due to the weakness, but mostly due to the brain fog. My job is in healthcare and it would be dangerous for the patients for me to treat them, so I don't.

I think it's funny that a wedding was mentioned. I just got back from a wedding Saturday and I've been in bed and recliner ever since. Haven't left the house because I'm just too worn out!

Good Luck!

I estimate I was infected in 1988, but there is a always a possibility I was infected before that.

I don't plan on giving up my fight to get better, and hope none of you will either!

Every day is a constant battle. The other day I described the pain to my son as, "hideous."

But I notice bright spots. I actually have good days now and better days.

Are you on antibiotics? I am on a heavy regimen right now.

I have probably had this since I was 12, I am 49 now and have been extremely sick. I am at about 95% remission and have been here for about 3 years. You can get well, but as you know, we have to really pay attention and work at it.
