Hi everyone,
Can anyone tell me which antibiotics are used in the MP?
if you want to private email me do so.
I know minocycline is one of them, and wondering which other ones are used. I know about the Benicar,I am working on what is going on with me, and am VERY VERY intolerant to light, and minocycline is not working, I am getting worse.
AS I type this, my breathing is reacting to the light on the computer, the lungs swelling, and the body getting pain all over. I was NOT like this before 2 weeks ago, it started while on Doxy, and flagyl. I have used the computer for years and never had a problem, and now have one, despite being treated for lyme on antibiotics, even the minocycline.
I have not had the tests done for the MP because I was in a life threatening situation and choose antibiotics, high dose and they worked, but only so far. I am NOW even more intolerant to light... and am thinking that maybe
BABESIA is a culprit. My LLMD does not know really what to do but to try the clindamycin and quinine now, and see what happens. I have been treated for lyme for over a year, and now getting worse, and had the Babesia test come back negative from IGENEX, the lyme test positive...
so am treating the babesia now, starting tomm, but am scared, and am now thinking recalling that the MP uses other anitbiotics in their protocol and the MP is the only place that have people as sensitive to light as myself. I DO NOT HAVE night sweats, I have chills off and on, and have not gotten better with antibiotics for lyme.
I find it ODD that while treating lyme on minocycline I am not getting better with the light.
I am all over the place mentally now, and thinking what to do...
my LLMD said that he was worried the MP may not be strong enough for lyme patients, and have heard some that see my LLMD do the MP and it not work, regular antibotics worked better.
thanks,
Trish

The MP uses Benicar, Minocin, Zithromax, and Bactrim all at some point during the different phases. My LLMD uses a variation of the MP, so I didn't follow this exactly. I took Ketek instead of the Zithro. I did have success with these combinations, but as I mentioned, my LLMD used a variation of the protocol...not the actual protocol as dictated.

thanks!
That is exactly what I need. I have done the Zithromycin with flagyl for 2 months, then started to get very sick as this combo did not work for me after 2 months.
Have done the mino, but not the Bactrim OR the Benicar. I read that some only started to improve once the benicar was started.

There is plenty of info at www.marshallprotocol.com. No one should rely on postings at this site for accurate information on how to do Marshall Protocol.
Taking random antibiotics for random periods of time and mixing with Benicar is not the Marshall Protocol and could be very dangerous to your health.
Read the info on the MP web site and get a doc who understands MP before proceeding.

Dsie,
that is not what I am doing. I would never attempt the MP on my own. I am doing research for myself, re. all avenues.
I have visited the MP and am a member there.

Just something to keep in mind about Babesia....my doc says there are 16 or 18 strains and only a couple can be tested for....frustrating!
