I posted this on another thread to Sofy who was just asking about gelatin caps.

It is so important that you check what you are taking in on an ongoing basis. Often you are doing it in connection with other modalities (i.e. sauna) where your are really opening up the channels for substances to enter into body compartments where you would rather not have more toxins.

Just a reminder.

"Many of the better brands use cellulose or non/animal capsules. We used to and still do make a lot by making our own capsules, especially the herbs. Find a way to empty the capsule if you do not want the gelatin into a thick juice -- I use Mango juice or a thick tomato juice. A spoonful of cottage cheese will hide a lot. Whatever works. Whatever. Become inventive.

Most of all, notify the manufacturers. If we don't speak up, that industry will do almost anything. As long as it is nicely pink, nicely yellow, nicely white --- all of it a toxin to an already sick body.

Just look at some of your pills (for which you pay a lot of money) and such that still contain methylparaben, propylparaben, titanium dioxide, artifical color this and artificial flavor that, and other toxic stuff plus some other metals that I am not (neither is my doctor) so sure about. Find out what is really toxic; others and I have posted lists of these. Make yourselves heard instead of just paying the bill now and later.

Take care.

P.S. It took my doctor over a year calling the maker of Vitalzyme again and again and again until they finally took the titanium dioxide out of their otherwise good product. They are now selling both kinds, one with and one without. Vitalzyme and Vitalzyme X. Buyer beware!!!! most people just don't know. Trying to get rid of their old supply?

Please examine (with a reading glass or magnifier) all your bottles and containers to make sure you are not getting an extra load of toxin that is as hard to get rid of or harder than Lyme. If you are taking it in religiously on a daily basis, you will have a hard time getting out of this disease."

Meaning well. Take care.

you are right GIgi! Im so tired of looking at bright yellow (mepron) and bright pink/red (zithromax) and all the other rainbow of colors they put into our stuff!

WHY!!! TO make it "pretty and Fun to eat?"

I cringe when I pass the "color burst" goldfish for kids and the blue applesauce! YUKKKKKK

most people dont care that they are poisoning the children for the almighty dollar.

I have to agree with that 100%.

People take their health for granted. Until something like Lyme undermines your system, you don't really realize how harmful most ingredients/foods/products are.

I became an organic freak (as much as my funds allow) and it has changed my health, and my life.

Also remember: cosmetics, skin care and beauty care products are a huge source of neurotoxins, carcinogens, irritants etc. Check out http://www.safecosmetics.org for more info. Aubrey Organics makes the safest products out there.

One good thing to remember about the ingredient label of food and cosmetics: ingredients are listed in descending order of importance in the formula. The lower down the list, the lower in the formula.

Once you realize that your ``natural'' cream has less natural ingredients than colorant and dangerous preservatives, it's time for a change!

Becoming an educated customer is worth it.

This is no excuse, but possibly a reason they color the pills.

If they didn't, ALL pills would be white....which makes identifying them harder.... especially might contribute to mistakes by pharmacists when dispensing.

I know I get confused as to which white pill is which sometimes.

Its not just supplements its food too. I was buying wild caught Salmon and an elderly woman (like me) next to me said she always bought the farm raised cuz the color was better.

When I said it was due to artificial coloring she didnt care. So many of us are products of marketing and apparently it works. No wonder they keep doing it.
