i went to my doc appt. last thursday, Dr. P in CT and he told me to quite the doxy 100mgs. twice a day for a week and then start the tetra 1500 mgs. this thursday.
i have actually felt a bit better the last couple of days, and even went on a walk for the first time in six months.
tonight i have a fever of 99.6 and climbing... does anyone know why this could be at all.
my temp since getting lyme is always screwed up but i have not been over 99 in months. any ideas? thanks

Good evening DJ,

Sometimes when we discontinue our meds, our own immune system begins to kick back in- thus, a slight fever.

Good luck with the new protocol.

My best,
Melanie

Lyme will definately go into cycles. You stopped the meds and your body is adjusting. Your probably not herxing right now so you were feeling what feels like "normal". The fever? I get those off and on from time to time.

You need to start the new meds and just see how things go with that. Hope you feel better soon!
