This day January 6th 2006 we say goodbye to our dad, poppy and husband who we loved so much and will never forget!!! He who has suffered for the past 3 years with this terrible painful disease (LYME). He stayed strong through all the treatments his LLMD put him on but nothing seemed to ease the pain he was in. The disease just kept his immune system down, he got phnemonia and within a day and half machines were keeping him alive. He was only 69 and was hoping for some kind of life again,to enjoy his retirement, wife kids and grandchildren. He was a special person to all he knew ,he had such a big heart!!! We love him and will never forget!!! I have a question my mother-in-law wrote in the obit to make donations to the Lyme Disease Foundation,in his name do they let her know if anyone did? His name Philip J. LaMonico of Burlington Ct.--- a superb man!! Thanks to all on this board you helped me alot through these past few years!!!! Posts: 18 | From Burlington,Ct. | Registered: Jan 2004

I'm very sorry to hear this, NIBOR. I just lost my mother before Christmas and I fully believe she had Lyme. She was 78 and had had several disabling strokes before we even suspected Lyme.
I don't know anything about memorials to the LDF. Why don't you call them to find out how they handle them?
My condolences to you and to your family. May your loved one rest in peace.

I am so sorry for the loss of your dad. You asked if the Lyme Disease Foundation would let your mom know if donations were made to honor him.
I am pretty sure they will let your mom know if donations are received. You can go to their website and contact them if you wish. They would like that. www.lyme.org
Please take care of yourself. You have had a huge lurch in your life. Hope memories will comfort you.
The Lyme Disease Network is a non-profit organization funded by individual donations. If you would like to support the Network and the LymeNet system of Web services, please send your donations to:
