I have just participated in the first day (9 hours) of Dr. Klinghardt's Conference on Neurotoxin Mediated Illnesses. I have to say that it has been truly amazing and enlightening. Tomorrow is a 13 hour agenda!!
Most of the conference attendees are doctors and practitioners. The information being presented is very detailed and it really helps to understand some of these topics in further detail.
I have the distinct honor of meeting several people today at the conference including Dr. Klinghardt and Lymenet's very own GiGi. I found Dr. Klinghardt to be an incredible person that clearly does what he does because he cares about helping people. His knowledge in the LD arena is immense.
I also have to say that GiGi looks incredibly healthy. She has gone through LD and is now well - I have seen it with my own eyes. She looks great and she is hard to keep up with...
It will take awhile to work through all the information provided and determine what changes to my current protocol are warranted. I believe there will be several. Will certainly share those thoughts after the conference.
Definitely a great experience.

How cool that you are there! One of the naturopaths in my town is attending. My hat is off to him for making the effort to learn about Lyme disease.

Scott, I'm jealous. You are so blessed to be attending that seminar. I knew Gigi would be the picture of health.

I absolutely will summarize the points that I found of interest and provide some details.
One quick note - Dr. Klinghardt utilizes many of the herbal options that are discussed in Buhner's book. Will provide more details later.

Scott, you are an amazing guy!!!!!!!!!!! Seems you never quit giving to those on the board who need more information to understand what we are dealing with.
I want to commend you for your efforts, you really have a tremendous knowledge base regarding this disease and I know with your determination and will power you will get well and take others along with you on that positive path.

hi all.Please both Scott and GIGI.for those of us who colud notattend the conference and who are not able to be Dr. K's clients.but who are eager to learn and implement his treatment methods,please can you both give us as much info as posible,sincerely,Uma i feel if i could move to seattle and be treated by him,i would get better,he seems to be one of the few doctors who understand lyme,dr.r.b. in santa cruz sounds like he is good also.

The conference just ended and it was everything I had hoped for and more. It will take me several days to digest it all and create some notes to share. I get in late tonight and then have to work this week but will certainly document what stood out for me and I know GiGi is planning to share lots of information soon as well.
I was so incredibly impressed with ART testing. However, I think that the person doing it has to be a true healer. I have had it done by another practitioner that claimed to do it and it just didn't work. Watching Dr. Klinghardt do it to several folks first hand was amazing - he is amazing - a true gift.
Today, I was able to do an ART session with an ND that used to work with Dr. K directly for about two years. I learned so so much including the fact that my glasses caused my nervous system to disregulate because of the metal they contained. Certainly not going to make or break a treatment (or so I hope), but it is another piece of information that I will certainly look into.
That said, I think significant value comes from tailoring the remedies/herbs, etc. using ART. I know see firsthand why GiGi has been such a strong proponent of ART. Even with my background and advocacy of EDS, Vega/Voll, etc., ART is truly in a new dimension. However, even if ART is not possible, many of the treatment options that Dr. Klinghardt recommends (many of which are not just for the infections and physical body), I think one can significantly benefit.
Alterative points of view were presented at the conference on antibiotics and conventional therapies which I employ as most of you know. I now feel even more committed to getting off of the ABX and ramping up my protocol based on Dr. Klinghardt's work. He is a true pioneer. I just can't explain it in words other than to say you have to experience Dr. K. live. Remarkable, brilliant man.

ART...Autonomic Response Therapy. It's an advanced form of muscle testing, from what I understand, that allows you to listen to the body telling you what it needs now. That's why Gigi often says, a substance would be okay for a while, and then the body would say no. She would test anything before she tried it. The body tells you the order in which to treat. And it allows you to work on emotional issues too.
Its a big question whether there is anybody here on the East Coast who does ART successfully. BUT I am interested in luvs2rides doc in Maryland. He's not doing ART but auricular therapy, a la Nogier's work I believe, and Nogier was a pioneer of this kind of thing. I am hoping to go to him sometime sooner or later (after I finish a project and have some time). I have a good feeling about him.
