My left leg, above the knee towards the inner thigh has been twitching all night. This is different than my ususal little muscle twitches. Those only last a few minutes and can be masssaged away.

This actually feels like there is something in there. No matter what I do I can't get it to stop. You can touch the area and feel the movement from the outside.

Have you had this? Its a new one for me! Not painful, but incredibly annoying ..... itkepts me up all night.

PS I take a lot of magnesium and the twitching I had has mostly stopped, this is way different.

sounds like nerve irritation.... Are you approaching or in a symptom flare up cycle?

I have 3 herniated discs in my back that have caused a twitching in my inner thigh from the groin to the knee. Sounds like the same place for you. If you have back problems, that could be your answer.

David....... I am always waxing and waning on symptoms...... they never go completely away.
So I am not sure.......

Jim .... I don't have back probs other than muscle aches from Lyme. I will check into that if it doesn't go away.

Thanks guys,
robi

Did you make a change in medication recently? This can cause the problem from my experience. My twitching is pretty much completely gone, but sometimes shortly after starting a new med like Rifampin, I will get some more twitching for a while.
