i just switched from doxy to tetra, i have been on 1500 mgs of the tetra for 11 days now. a little neck stiffness, but i really am noticing that i have alot of anxiety/anger-rage, and depression starting to come into my picture, i have searched past threads some good info but is anyone experiencing this at the moment.
Is it a herx, side effect of the drug, or what?

Hey- DJ.

Sorry that you aren't feeling too well.

I was on tetra a long time. The stiff neck was a herx signal for me. You are definately stirring up the critters.

Lots os detox is good, water with lemon in it, low carb diet and gentle stretching many times a day to pump the toxcins out of your system. I have a heating wrap thing I nuke. It does wonders on the neck and lower back.

Managing the anger/depression crap is hard. Just understand it is herx/lyme related and will go away. I stayed away from people and did things that made me feel good.

I'm not even taking abx right now but am on Buhner's protocol plus Heparin for the lyme and my herxing seems to be depression along with a nagging head/neck ache.

Even when I Rife I have that same thing for about 2 days.

If you read that thread on Herbal Treatment by jwf he mentions 3 or 4 supplements that helps with herxing. I ordered them today from Vitacost (except for the one from India).

The Bed Buddy that Mel mentioned feels so good on the neck. I heat it in the microwave and the moist heat helps. I get mine at Walgreens.
