Dear Worried, If you are asking what an LLMD is you probably need one. If you are on this site, you have a lot of questions that your run of the mill MD is probably not able to answer for you or should I say may have tried but probably has inaccurately.
The number one thing you can do for yourslf is realize that just because MD follows a name it does not mean that that person is competent in tick borne illnesses. Yes, I did say the pleural form, ILLNESSES.
I hope you inform yourself by reading the many posts. The one for NEWBIES is a must.
There is a wealth of information on this site where you can educate yourself so perhaps you won't need to be worried anymore.
Good luck to you SUe

Welcome to the board.
Yes, print off TREEPATROL'S NEWBIE LINKS, found on 1st screen of medical. Check them off as you read important ones first.
Print off Dr. B's 05 treatment guidelines, 40 pages; he's our LLMD expert for CHRONIC lyme. Read it often to become more knowledgeable and involved in your lyme treatment meds.
good luck here; great folks; use the search also...working very well know.

Actually, in many cases it doesn't necessarily mean they're competent at much of anything. (in my humble experience)
