I'm so tired of the ducks. They dont even listen to me. The NP from my Gyn office thought i was still on doxy........um i stopped that in December I think......sheesh!!! I think im going to type up my history real short so they get it right!

The gel wasnt working, i know it is the only treatment and most normal women can handle it, but im in too much stupid pain. And they just do not understand. Ive cried ,ive tried...and i just cannot do it.

I told her on Thursday I felt it was really burning me, now she says maybe you reacted to the gel.

So now im on flagyl...twice a day.

She also questioned the diflucan being taken everyday.

Im a bit nervous about 7 days of flagyl...but i have no choice....so here goes nothing.

Im tired of hearing 'it could be" tired tired tired tired tired tired....did i say tired [bonk]

I have a few more ducks i have to see to rule more stuff out.

After this i have the mass to deal with. It never ever ends.

Hey maybe we can get a 2 for one deal....they remove your stomach and my urethra!!!

they saw a mass on the ultra sound i had done....it was an outside ultra sound of the pelvic area...could be my bowel....im too sore for the internal one.

One more rant about ducks......i just tried calling the urologist for IC i faxed my insurance card last week. The girl tells me they are calling based on the order they were recvd...wouldnt even tell me if she got it. Im sick of dealing with it all.

Im even questioning my lyme diagnosis....i really dont know what i have anymore.

Advice on flagyl. Don't jump into at recommended dosage until you see how your body will react to it. Many have been thrown into herx hell with this one.

I never got past a sliver of it. It was horrendous for me. Some people do ok with it, others say it's the worst they ever felt. Just because some lyme ignorant doc tells you to do 2 a day doesn't mean you go there without testing the waters first.

Just my opinion. Beware

I just took 3 weeks of 500 mg 4x/day and it blasted the heck out of the Lyme, powerful stuff, works amazing. NO alcohol at all on Flagyl or you can dies, and eat a full meal with your pills, and coat them in olive oil it makes them easier to swallow!!!

im thinking im just going to take one for tonight and see how it goes. I did plan on taking the full dose but i need sleep. And after the bactrim levaquin for the UTI that i didnt have....that was a very very scary herx. or whatever it was. I took 2 doses of bactrim and i was messed up.but i was fine on just one dose a day.

i took it at 7 tonight and so far I am just tired....i usually like to space out the pills atleast 12 hours so it doesnt build up real quick. so i have 500mg in me right now. I barely weigh 97lbs too....so im not sure i even need the full dose.

about swallowing the pills- Im an oddball...i cannot for the life of me swallow capsules....so i was glad this was a reg pill. If you coat it with butter or margarin it works real good too. My LLMD told me to use margarine.

Oh thank God I am not the only one who can not swallow these pills! I have been doing jello shots withthem, but every once in awhile if I am not quick enough it slips out of the jello and GAGS me [Mad]
This is the most awful tasting abx I have been on, but hey I'm willing to try it. It can't be worse than the biaxin metalic taste that I am accustomed to!So lets see take Biaxin, suck on nickels.......then take my Flagyl not just once, but three x per day....gets stuck in thraot and GAG.
Oh ya forgot to mention the thrush I got on my tongue from these buggers sticking on the way down [rant]

I'm gonna get that lyme !!!

I have had the same experience as lymetoo,
I felt soo much better once I finished my flagyl pulse. I did change to tindimax. but same effect-big boost in recovery.

Best Wishes,

Char

Well, so far I am ok.... my eyes sting a lil bit but i dont think that is related to the flagyl.

It just makes me so tired. Im working from home today and Im going to take it at lunch....but i just might fall asleep. Im going to slowly work my way up...and hopefully that will work.

This pill does taste bad, but nothing compared to the pamprin i used to take....now that is a nasty bitter horrible tasting pill. I should try the jello shots.

I fear its the flagyl calm before the storm. But maybe the diflucan i am taking has helped in some strange way. I dunno.

Hopeful- im not sure i need surgery just yet....i have to go for a followup internal ultra sound once the bacterial infection clears up because they couldnt tell if it was a fibroid or what....just that it wasnt causing the symptoms i have now.

I would bet day three or day four is when the flagyl will hit you.

FWIW - Flagyl DOES come in a capsule form. You just have to ask for it.

The tablets are AWFUL. Given to me once by a duck.

It does work well on fungal infections, cdiff, cyst form of lyme.

Feel better.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh than you to whoever suggested coating it with oliveoil, I treid it this morning and Presto!! It went right down with no aftertaste.

cantgiveupyet, Try the olive oil trick, it works wayyyyyy better than my jello shot idea! I'm calling the pharmacy to ask them about the capsules, why the heck would they make it any other way???? [Frown]

I'm gonna get that lyme !!!
