Betty ~ I'm so glad to see you're doing better. Please "DO" get the doc to follow up, k?
When I saw your post yesterday, I tried to figure out how to contact you but only had an email address and thought if you couldn't see the screen... how much good would that do? This lymebrain couldn't figure out the next step. I'm glad the rest of everyone did.
Now... about the 2 cute guys... why don't you keep one and send the other one here?

You guys are just awesome with your continued responses. The newbies got a good taste of caring & how far the members will go to HELP someone in potential trouble & not realizing it like me.
Doc, 1st we had Tutu strutting her stuff, and now your "mooning" butt for all to see. LOL
Yes, I will bug my LLMD. Thought I'd email him ALL my symptoms from that wierd day of my life so we can discuss. I'll STOP FLAGYL AS PCP requested.
I want to get the number of my rx meds down from 19!
Told LLMD that other day, you can stop trental I think he said...have to check my notes since his still haven't been sent to me in 3 wks! LLMD then prescribed 2 more!
Just a thought. I have no idea if the surname is common or not. If there are only a few, I would call some of them, might get a relative or something.
Hmmm, better probably to call the local police department, once you know the town. Carol [QUOTE]
EVERYONE: PLEASE ADD ABOVE WEB SITE TO YOUR FAVORITES/BOOKMARK. I never heard of this before. I used it typing in my 1st & last name plus Iowa. It brought up 2 of us; I was no. 1 listed. I was really impressed. Thanks Carol for providing a valuable resource in an EMERGENCY!

Ok folks,
It was Ann-Oh calling me that day that did it.
I finally got the message at around 9 or so...and then went into action.

Kent/Trout,
THANK YOU my guardian angel for calling the Ames police dept.! I am indebted to you my lyme friend who I met about 2 years ago at lyme support meeting with the legislaturers.
I'm signing off for today; thanks Kent for easing my mind as to WHO called police.

Reading this post was like reading a "Chicken Soup" story! It was truly heart-warming to read the concerns of the members for Betty.
Betty, YOU ARE LOVED!
I hope that you have spoken with your doctor to figure out what this is.

Yes, I learned and was shown thru this post how much love/concern the lyme members of this board have for me and ALL others on me; I'm not alone .. we walk in each other's shoes 24/7.
I emailed my LLMD this weekend & gave specifics what happened asking him again to call .. NOTHING to date! He's slower than molasses.
I told woman answering the phone Fri. that this was a MAJOR herx & gave her symptoms until she cut me off.
Yes, I agree; this is Chicken soup material; heartwarming.

Betty, glad your story had a happy ending. Glad you were well enough to notice the cute cops.
If you are on 19 prescription meds, possibly there was an interaction?
When my LLMD prescribed Flagyl, he cautioned about no alcohol. When I said I didn't drink, he said to BE CAREFUL EVEN WITH MOUTHWASH.

Monica, I wondered abou that too..interaction. 2 weeks ago I completed a special survey for BC/BS thru CARESTEPS, independent hired. I completed detailed survey including meds I was on!
I couldn't just type med/dosage, it brought up ALL the meds for THAT one item, & I had to choose. Took forever with 19 meds!!
Anyway, they had results from survey & MED INTERACTIONS. Started reading about each of 2 meds mixing, but it was DRS. only language except or 2-3 sentences that come with EACH NEW MED giving specifics of reactions and side effects.
Ann, UFFDA, yes, I'm part Norwegian! Did you grow up by Decorah or Story City/Roland? Glad I provided you a laugh, you guardian angel you!

Ann, you wouldn't recognize much of it any more.
Roy & Bobbi Reiman, owners of the Reiman garden magazines with NO ads from Wisc. gave ISU $1 million to start a garden S. of ISU football stadium. It is 10 acres & finished now. Has butterfly conservatory with 700-800 butterflies. A great upper for our bad days. I just can't walk it. If I do, take many breaks sitting after 5 minutes! Buck roses beautiful.

Betty: Glad you are doing better. Checked in early on on this thread, but couldn't do much myself, glad others could. I only mentioned a gal near Iowa City that I thought MIGHT know you, but didn't know for sure.
She got me going on this list when I met her last November. Her handle here is Biting Back. But the last time she wrote me she was having a setback too, and I haven't heard from her in over two weeks, so just wrote her tonight to check in on her.
Isn't it nice to have folks jump to help you instead of the usual treatment we are all used to. We have to practically beg for help as we drag ourselves around.

PUTTING AN ENDING ONTO THIS THRILLING STORY!
did a search on flagyl which i'll send to a newbie, and since i was on my hair-raising story, wanted to put an ending on it.
ran into my llmd 3-5 months ago, so asked him directly why he NEVER returned my phone call or detailed EMAIL as to my major herx on FLAGYL.
he told me he NEVER received either one! said he'd do some checking when he got back to the office as he'd had OTHER COMPLAINTS OF HIS NOT RETURNING PHONE CALLS!
in one email, i also complained about his RN; not helpful or friendly at all!
llmd never got back to me but i do hope he found the person for NOT giving him my messages so it does not happen to anyone else!

Just curious Betty-
What if his RN checks his e-mail for him? If you complained about her, might she have become vindictive & deleted the message & then not given your messages to LLMD?
Chances are good that she could have been in charge of screening to see what Dr. needs to tend to, in what order.
If she is in a position to field her own complaints, that may make her feel beyond reproach.
Just a thought?
