The journey has been an up and down ride most of the time for me sinse Nov 9th. I had some days were I felt pretty damn good, then like crap other days...

It comes and goes....I wonder what the next round of meds will be?????

Depends lots on how long you had the infection from lyme and also coinfections.

If you had it a while before finding out you had it treatment will take long long time anywhere from 1 year to unlimited. But remember there are people that have had it a long time and have been symtom free for 5 years or so.

I feel where you are coming from boston,

i have been sick for 8 months now, pulled the tick off and went right on doxy, now i am on tetra 1500 mgs a day like you, felt outstanding for the first three weeks on it and now fatigue is back hard.

dr. P. called me last night with blood test results and said everything is good, ordered me on tetra for next month and then come see him.

i have treated since day one, it has almost been 8 full months, which i know in lymenet time is like a week but, it is so hard to have good days and then wake up to a few horrible.

My two remaining symptoms are heat in the face, sometimes red, and fatigue.

sometimes i dont know if it is still lyme, or yeast issues.

i want my life back......

wonder if i ever will.............

right there with you boston........

Rob-

It takes a long time to get well. It is a process. Work on today, being as healthy as you can.

Stock up on some food, you are in for a bit of snow this week-end! Just kick back and relax and let it snow.

Have to go split some wood!

So Rob-

What are you going to do for YOU today? Not the have to dos or the shoulds, something that will lift your spirit.

I'm going running, before it starts snowing. I know you can't do that, but how about some stretching/yoga to relieve the stiffness or maybe a brisk walk! Or maybe a hot soak with a good book.

Today is the first day of the rest of your life!

Hi,

I had a hard time on Tetra, it gave me major Herxes (good progress!) -- but I think now that I did not take the proper things to make sure to process out the Borelia die-off.

It might help you in your situation to make sure you are processing out the toxins that occur when the bacteria get zapped.

I did not know about this until developed a sense of toxicity, and then became more and more sensitive to meds and even some foods.

So, I've been there on the Tetra -- It can really get in there and zap those bugs!! Just ask questions about properly processing out the die-off, ok? I am just learning about that myself.

Warmest wishes to feel better soon.

Hey, Rob...and Dana,

I said just that earlier today: why can't any of this be any easier?

I had some big stress yesterday and the burning hot bands came back to my ankles and calves. It feels like I'm wearing some sort of socks or bandages that are way too tight, as if someone's cutting off all my circulation.

I had an appointment this afternoon but cancelled. I drive a stick and didn't trust my legs. Not today.

The snow's still beautiful, Mel. I'm trying to stay positive.

Tomorrow, I see the LLMD. Thankfully, I've got a list of things to talk about.

Tomorrow's a new day.

'night everyone!

Andie

Hang in there Rob.

For me the first months of Tetra were the worst. I started in December 04. In the Spring I switched to Plaquenil and Biaxin. The first few days were rough but after that it was really easy compared to Tetra.

I switched back to Tetra this Fall and it is so easy compared to the first time. If you are seeing Dr. D. you'll probably follow this scedule too.

Step up your detox: Water, Podi patches, Epsom Salt baths...

Remember, herxing means the Tetra is finding the Lyme. That's a good thing in the big picture.

A positive, optimistic attitude creates balance and speeds healing... The opposite creates imbalance and delays healing....

It is definitely not easy and I often struggle with it myself. I eventually found that my energies were better spent on researching, understanding, and implementing a program towards wellness.

We are all capable of healing....

Be well,
Scott
